20. Daughtry - "Over You"

I really hated Chris on AI but when I gave some of the songs on his upcoming album a listen I actually quite enjoyed them. They're not the most original or the best thing in the world but I don't mind listening to them the way I did listening to him on AI, and I really like many of them. "Over You" is one of the ones I really enjoyed on the album so I was glad it was released as a single. I like "Over You" mostly because I can relate to it easily since I was working on getting over someone around the same time I heard it. Not my favourite radio hit of the year but it makes my list.

19. Sean Kingston - "Beautiful Girls"

Like I said earlier I'm not really into R&B or rappers usually but I enjoyed this song. It did have to grow on me at first though. I hated it when I first heard it but it grew on me and I ended up really liking it. One thing I especially enjoy about Sean Kingston is I have yet to hear him rap about drugs, pussy, hookers, ice, bling etc like most of the more established rappers do at this point.

18. Mika - "Grace Kelly"



This is another one that actually had to grow on me. I think in general I just always end up hating songs that get so overplayed. I have to really try and move past that to enjoy popular radio songs and I found myself doing that a lot this year. Some overplayed songs I still ended up hating but many I still enjoyed and I guess the songs are just really good or they fit what I like. In any case Mika was a new artist this year who burst on to the scene with this song and I really enjoyed him and this song.

17. Feist - "My Moon, My Man"



"1234" by Feist from the Apple iPod commercials this year may be the more popular Feist single off her album The Reminder but I much prefer "My Moon, My Man." I really enjoy the sound of this song and I'm quite enjoy Feist. I actually didn't get Feist or like her when she came out with her album a couple of years ago and was popular in Canada and performed on the Junos, but with her latest offerings I've really liked her stuff, this song especially.

16. Fergie - "Big Girls Don't Cry"

Fergie is one of the artists on this list I'm not particularly fond of and I've heard her do this song live a couple of times and it was painful to listen to do but I do enjoy this song. I was surprised after she released shit like "London Bridge" and "Fergalicious" that Fergie actually released a song I enjoyed listening to and wasn't revolted by but she did and I liked it. I'm definitely not running out to by The Duchess anytime soon and I bet a lot of people will disagree with this choice but I liked it, what can I say.

15. Hedley - "For The Nights I Can't Remember"



This would fall under the it's popular on Canadian radio category. I'm not a fan of Hedley's anymore but when this second single off their new album burst on to the radio I immediately loved it. I've always liked Jacob's voice despite not liking his antics and their attempt at a more serious, honest love song did not go unnoticed by me. I love this song, I don't have much more to say about it.

14. Akon - "Don't Matter"



I'm not a fan of Akon's at all but for some reason I couldn't get this song out of my head for as long as it was on the radio. I just really liked hearing it and couldn't stop singing it.

13. Rhianna ft. Ne-Yo - "Hate That I Love You"

Since her first album every song Rhianna hasn't released I've liked it. I've never been a fan of R&B music really but I've always found Rhianna's songs either catchy and fun or just nice to listen to. 2007 was a great year for Rhianna with the smash hit Umbrella, but I also liked the other 3 singles she released.; "Shut Up and Drive," "Please Don't Stop the Music" and this offering with Ne-Yo.

12. Michael Buble - "Everything"



I didn't pay much attention to Michael when he released his debut album but I really started to like him when he released his second with his cover of "Feeling Good" on it. When this song came out on the radio I immediately loved it. I just find Michael's voice to be so smooth and enjoyable and I love his music. I find it fun and upbeat and enjoyable to listen to. I especially like the few originals he releases along with bunches of standards, this being one of the originals.

11. Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats

I was a fan of Carrie's right from her audition and straight through to her debut album Some Hearts being released and becoming a mega hit. I loved this song immediately upon listening to the album and didn't have to wait for it to become a huge radio hit to love it. Definitely her most fun, girl power sing along song and her best attempt at a pop crossover yet I suppose. Nothing makes a girl happier than fantasying about destroying the car of a boy whose done her wrong.

You clearly did not love the radio hits the way I did this year. Even though I don't listen to the radio all that often I actually enjoyed doing so and grooving in my car when I did this year. In past years listening to the radio was quite painful.
