But four of the five (sans Cirie) are all under the radar, so none of them are getting pimped out in any shape or form. I think this is the edge Cirie has. Next episode's edit towards Natalie/Parvati/Amanda/Alexis should be telling. If a few of them get weak edits next episode, despite being included in the F4 plan, odds are that they won't win. Since it seems like Parvati's the main force behind it, she's the main contender for being in the Final 3 so far.

I think next episode will be the episode where everyone realizes that Parvati is going to win. Even though Amanda, Natalie and Alexis will be involved with the deal, I think Parvati is the one shown coming up with the idea and I think she will have the most to say about it. Unless Alexis can match or go beyond what Parvati says about the alliance next episode, I think it will point to a Parvati win. Cirie is still in the running, but next episode will tell us alot.

Last episode showed her saying something along the lines of "whoever I want to go this episode, will go". Amanda's edit has actually been really strong this season, people just seem to have backlash against her after she lost last season and everyone thought she did cause of some fake spoiler. Not her fault. Shes playing a strong game this time, and is definitely visible. I don't personally think she's gonna win, but shes 100 times more of a character than Alexis.

I don't get the fascination with Alexis. I guess she's the only cute alternative to Parvati and Amanda for those that just hate them.

After 7 episodes, I would think that the editors would want the viewers to remember the person who wins. With Alexis getting such little air time and Natalie even less than Alexis, I'd be surprised if either of them wins. They are just cogs in the first successful women's alliance in American Survivor history.

Also supporting the fact that Guatemala's story was how Steph lost, Danni also didn't get shown because she was flat out boring and didn't give the editors anything to work with. Alexis is just being ignored. Typical under the radar tag along like Jenn, Lydia, etc.

While your original statement is absolutely correct, I think the ramifications of it are simple: the editors want to draw viewers into a story so they will watch the next episode. The people posting here will watch it to the end, period. But the average viewer will watch an episode and either be drawn in to the story and keep watching ... or not. The mark of a successful season is that it turns non-fans into regular viewers. "Top Chef" did that to me last season. "Celebrity Apprentice" is far more appealing than the regular Apprentice. So I don't believe the editors spend as much time thinking about a season-long arc as the people here seem to think. I think the editors' focus is on short-term ratings. They don't presume you'll watch it to the end; they want to lure you into watching to the end.

I think at this point, even Lydia was more visible than Alexis. She had some pretty big pre-merge episodes (due to always being on the chopping block) before becoming completely invisible.
