Why didn't he just ignore it and when the tour didn't happen so what? no harm no foul.... If I were his friend I'd probably feel the same way as Kim....you don't publicly eviscerate your friends the way he did in that posting on his website...esp not with how OTT he knows his fans are already....

After days of the fans being up in arms about the very idea of him doing this tour, he blogged about how great Fantasia was in TCP but didn't address it at all. But a bunch of fans really freaked then and a normally very mild-mannered fan posted: "here's a quarter, Clay, buy a clue." I think he felt he had to address it or his fans were going to mutiny, lol!! At any rate, he really just told the truth, that it was not true and the media jumped the gun without doing any fact checking at all. He didn't say anything mean about Klo at all, though IMO she kind of deserved it.

KLO's publicist releases a press release for her new cd stating that Ruben, Clay & KLO were touring together. A tour that was never further discussed and agreed upon but gets picked up by all the news media, radio stations, even an entertainment tv show because the information was never verified. Clay blogs about it without blaming her but blaming the media. She spreads her untrue news all over the media and Clay blogs on his private fan club board and it's pissy Clays' fault. Whatever..

I don't know when that tour was supposed to happen since Clay went right from his Christmas tour into Spamalot. He's going from Spamalot into CD promotion then into a summer tour. While it might have had some benefits for all three of them - would the benefit for Clay be any greater than what he has been doing for the last while and what he has planned for the near future?
