I could definately see the scenario where people turned into the first episode, then saw who the celebrities actually were and stopped tuning in after that first ep. Get real celebrities! Outside of Gene Simmons I think the reaction is "who the hell is this person" to the majority of the people on. That said, the show isn't going anywhere with the writers strike going on.

With the writers on strike no new materials are coming in and by the time the strike is over you have to plan on scripts being written, filming times scheduled, and then editing done. SO even if it ends by the end of the month you still must allow time to get the shows filmed and edited.

FOX's "Don't Forget the Lyrics," 5.2/8, tied a "Grey's Anatomy" rerun for third in households and beat the ABC show in total viewers. A "Supernatural" repeat on The CW fell slightly from its lead-in. Which means thus far: EPISODE 1: 7.0/11 EPISODE 2: 5.2/8 EPISODE 3: 5.9/9 Surprise surprise, ratings actually went up a bit.

I'm over the gripes I had with the format changes. Can you imagine them just bringing back Omarosa season after season? And you know she'd do it. That, or each season would have a token "crazy" contestant from a previous season.

Doesn't surprise me the ratings went up a bit, but NBC also likely lost some of their key demo viewers to ESPN2's coverage of the Austrailian Open (anyone who has watched that knows how wild the coverage from Thursday night through early Saturday afternoon east coast time was). The ratings will probably hold where they are this week given it will be airing opposite Austrailian Open tennis coverage again this week.

This is posted on Zap2It: Note: Ratings for Thursday, Jan. 24 have been delayed by Nielsen. We will post them as they become available. I wonder how the show being pre-empted in favor of the debate in some areas will affect the numbers.
