GlamSlam is one of the best posters on Sucks and I wish you would post more in OT in the political threads. There are lot of people there you could dispose with very handily.

I appreciate the thought.. but I am actually for an opinionated person pretty open minded... I don't believe in personal attacks unless its about the Bachelor... otherwise considering how my "thoughts" on television shows have brought me death wishes/threats and internet stalking (some posting in this very thread right now) I shudder to think what my political beliefs could wrought. OT has always had some "issue" that comes back to haunt every now and then so it just doesn't seem the forum for me...

I have zero tolerance for stupidity and yet I can completely respect the poster voting for McCain and why because its his/her choice and this country that word CHOICE resonates with me strongly. As a old black gay man or woman whatever people think I have learned we need a difference of opinion.. the yes man/loyalty thing brought us this.. and by the way Clinton had ZERO tolerance for anyone who questioned his or Hilary's decisions... he shares with McCain the purple rages that color his decisions... so again look what that got.

Now who is our leader is irrelevant unless we have a strong Congress that can quit with the bullshit on partisanship, lobbyists and finally money hunting.. they have become so ingrained with those three factors that they have forgotten who they serve and why they are there.. I keep thinking of Patty Murray, just a mom in tennis shoes.. well that bitch threw out the Converse long ago.. she has laden bills with pork and is basically a tool of business interests who fund her campaign. Here are things that could be done that would cost the taxpayers nothing.

1. Open up Insurance to be sold across state lines... it would be competitive and enable more coverage
2. Allow for co-ops to purchase insurance as a small business... individuals could pool resources together and by collective policies.. lumping together all personal insurance and could be administered by a member or by a third party at minimal fees.
3. Get a Usuary law in place.. just that alone will stop some of the bullshit
4. Restore Glass-Steagall Act
5. Raise the FDIC insurance
6. Have campaign fund limits across the board..... make attack ads illegal....
7. Keep term limits.. these bastards need to be out in 8 years and can only return after an 8 year hiatus working in the private sector as "community organizers" and have "executive experience"
8. Limit lobbyists access to well ZERO
9. Stop pork completely... nothing can be added to any bill ever. The bill is either in or out!! Hedi Klum even knows this
10. Look to establish rental controls to keep housing within a 40% of earnings... cities need to make sure there is sufficient housing available for all incomes... by forcing landlords to make sure there are units available to all people. This should also be a lending guideline but that is a bank and citizen issue.. don't buy what you can't afford.

Now what can you do..

Negotiate your credit card APR down today.. its negotiable.
Start saving just 10 bucks a week tops...that may be one less drink or coffee out.
Shop for what you need.. I needed new glasses and I found frames direct... they have great stuff, inexpensive and I was able to get that final "A" and can wear PRADA again.. wearing PRAD just wasn't cutting it.
Learn to Barter and trade with professionals.. I acutally took my car to the local Voc Tech school for a tune up. Plus you should see the hot younguns at college these days.. BONUS!
Stop shopping at IKEA and Target.. I know gays this one is tough. You know you can get stuff on Craigslist not just laid.
Go to Community Clinics/Planned Parenthood or wherever immediately for check ups etc.. they will not survive without patients who can use insurance or are willing to pay something
Buy less but buy well.. actually set up a budget and see where your money goes each month...
Try to buy local... from food to stuff those small business people need you more than ever and again if you do find the cheap PRAD frames online talk to the local dude and ask if he can meet their price.. if he can't you buy the frames from them and the lenses from the local dude.. .at least share the wealth...my vendor did not have PRADA at all and after the %@*$* and crying I found them online. Hey its an economic downturn but I do have some standards... I just won't pay 300 bucks for them anymore.

I truly don't mind "Republicans" I am way to old to limit myself to those who think as I do... I so appreciate any mind that is intelligent and articulate.. and well I don't like McCain because he is sold out.. he is no Maverick so fuck that as for Obama.. I think smart, collected, too cool and collected for my taste and frankly a man who would throw you under a bus faster than a BB Contestant drunk.. there is something just to calculated for my tastes.. Okay because my lesbian lovah Factory Hurl forced me to watch 20/20 I am now watching that John Stossel bore me and of course he is doing his Jay Leno thing and showing how moronic American's are... and they interviewed these young people who had no idea how many Senators let alone states in America!!! Does this shock me.. no.. and they are all of course victims of our public education system.. and being 18 their formative years were under the wonderful Bush plan of No Child Left Behind. One tour of OT and the thread on politics where the best and brightest of Sucks (you may laugh now) validate their intellect... and know that Bush was or isn't totally responsible for that fiasco.

America so disvalues education that we can't even recognize goddamn Candidates.. SHIT vote... should they be allowed to LIVE! I substitute teach because of the decline in the economy and I was considering riding it out by going back to teaching.. but I just can't... there are some darling children and good teachers and I get excited for that minute and then I go to the school I was at this week.. their are no there their... or whatever.. these kids write at a level somewhere at a 4th grade, they can barely write a simple function in math or a sentence... and the student teacher said they are in this program of integrative merged classrooms because they are discipline problems.... well an entire class of fuckups is not a special needs its a majority and they need to get their shit together.... these kids are so rude, so out of control, I seriously doubt they could manage the most rudimentary job.. the true "special needs" kids are shunted aside for kids who just are well shitbags.... we make excuses because well its hard to make people learn... to teach....to give a shit...

The country is in the toilet because we have people who don't even understand why they are voting for the candidate they profess to admire... and the intellectual elite making sure that it remains that way... because it keeps them in power.. Webster wanted a two tier education system as in England so that by 16 you are tracked and out of the system unless you are one of the elite.. he must be smiling in hell he got what he wanted we just delay it til 18.
