Here's funny story I wanna share. I was having a drink yesterday with an Aussie who said he's been here in Canada less than a year. He says loves it here in BC, esp the snowboarding. But he admitted to me things were a little rough for him at first with the language barrier & all. So I kinda looked at him, language barrier? Oh yeah, he says. He then goes on about some of the differences in how we speak & how he's had to adapt. There was one particular story that had me in stitches. He said soon after he first arrived here he went to this construction site looking for work & asks the foreman in charge, "Are you hiring carpenters by any chance?" He says the foreman gave him a suspicious look & replied, "Sorry, we don't paint cars here."
