Well I figure what's good for the goose and all that... why should you get all the fun, esp when all you do is say Kelly is fat and ugly in response to negative things said about Carrie.. at least I bring cold hard facts.. as for Low, TTWL and MI... those singles were all released LONG before the digital download era (2003 to be exact) so it would be rather difficult to count them IMO...... itunes was barely off the ground at that time since it launced in Jan 2001 and people were still illegally downloading music through various web sharing programs. Digital downloading en mass didn't really start to take off until 2005/2006 which is why it was so unusual for a song to get a million downloads, which the very first song was Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani released in 2005. One Minute and DWYT were never released as singles in the U.S. and Sober was never properly promoted as a single so why would people download a song they've not heard? and yes I do live a charmed life... I'm a fan of the first and best Idol in the world!! Carrie's current CD has sold 2.2 million...of those, 1.4 or so were sold in the time period between release and end of year christmas time... guess what... the difference between Kelly's CD sales and Carrie's is almost exactly 1.4 million I'm sure it doesn't take a mathematic genius to figure out that Carrie's sales are mostly due to her time of release and her name recognition.... Once the CD had to stand on it's own merit it didn't sell any better than My December.... I wonder how Carrie would fare if she ever released a CD that wasn't benefitting from holiday shopping season? I personally can't wait for CD #3 from Carrie....
