Hey asswipe, I'm probably younger than you are. Can't help it if you haven't accumulated any intelligence in all your years.
Keep praying you one day say something 1/1000th as witty as Dennis Leary. Maybe someday you will. You know, law of averages and all. |

Ok... "Twunt".
You outed yourself with praise of archaic rock idoltry like Ray Davies, etc. That, and the phrase "worth his salt" a few posts ago. Something my dead Grandma used to say. oh, and it's DENIS, nitwit. |

It's also good to know
that the voices of "somethingness" are bubbling forth with profanity-laced rants which are SO enlightening. Dude, your 5,000 generation knee-jerk "cyncicism" and "jaded-ness" is such a bad cliche it isn't even funny. It requires NO INTELLIGENCE, NO EFFORT, NO THINKING, nothing. Anyone can go on a board and call someone an obscenity. The people you probably admire (Leary, Lennon, Carlin) would laugh at your mindless conformity. Now call me a c-rag or something. I'll be gone for the day... |

It's called being "well read" and "knowing music"... that's why I know those things. I'm 38. Not quite ready for AARP, you young buck you.

OH, one more thing before I go. I love Ray Davies, but I worked at a modern rock station for years. So it's not like I didn't hear all THAT music too, and follow those bands as well. The bottom line is, The Kinks are great music no matter how old you are. 5, 10, 15, 25, 35, 65...
One day, you'll realize that, unless you're too far gone. Great music is great music. PERIOD. Have a good night, you young whipper snapper. XOXOXOOXO |

Got my Entertainment Weekly yesterday (although I read Kelly's interview online before hand) and as a fan of Kelly's since she first stepped on the semifinal stage on AI I have to say that I LOVE that Kelly won't take shit from money grubbing producers. The fact that she is who she is (and has been since I first saw her 6 years ago) shows that there are real people inside of stars today. Granted she might just be one of a million... but that's what makes her amazing IMO.
If she was a tool for producers and nodded her head and just said "Yes Sir" to that wrinkled fuck Clive... then wouldn't everyone call her a sheep? You can't have it both ways fucktards. Either you are a leader or a sheep lead to the slaughter... and the fact that Kelly is who she is and won't take left over songs from other artists anymore should prove (to those who have brains atleast) that she is here for the long run. People complain that those who sing others people's shit songs aren't individuals and when a talented singer and writer (see BOY) wants to GROW as an artist gets hell for going out on their own and NOT settle for being a puppet. Then what is there left to argue about? |

Quote: not that I needed permission to skip what you post you'll be happy to know that I didn't disappoint your expectation that I wouldn't read it. Quote: it is rather confusing isn't it?! I mean first they suck cuz they don't sing their own shit and then they suck because they actually want to sing their own shit... what's an artist to do? I mean sing someone else's stuff and you're a sell-out with no talent of your own who depends on others....write your own songs and have the nerve to want to sing them and then you're an arrogant twat who thinks they are better than everyone else. and let's not forget how UNBELIEVABLE it is that someone would want to actually eat a cookie without worrying about what they weigh every second of every day. I can imagine the shitstorm that would've flown around here had Kelly buckled to Clive and went back in the studio to record more "radio friendly" songs.... or even better, what if she'd have allowed her entire CD to be shelved and recorded an album of coveres with only a few "original" songs thrown in? |

GOTTA LUV HER!!! | ||

Great post AK. She is most certainly a leader. She has always strived for the next level and to leave AI behind as a stepping stone to a super career. She believes in her talent and clearly so do MANY others!!!

Funny that she's come running back to AI, the place she wanted to leave behind.
Interesting. |

I love green eyes:
I was trying to be CIVIL when I said I don't expect you to read through the posts. Sigh, oh well... so much for that approach! I guess I should have expected as much from someone who doesn't know that lyrics are just the WORDS to a song, and NOT the words+melody. You can't walk around SINGING (or humming) anything without MUSIC, i.e. melody, etc. Now seriously, how many i.q. points does that take to know? 50? 60? Maybe 65 if I'm feeling generous. I learned it when I was like 4 years old. See, the funny thing is, if i really wanted to play this stupid game you guys play of hurling insults back and forth, I'd completely annihilate you. I'd wipe you off the map, and I'd do it by honing in on actual weaknesses: In this case, your glaring stupidity. I wouldn't have to resort to calling out typos, or calling someone "gay" or calling them a bodily secretion. So come on... come back and reply with even more ignorant stupidity. Give me even MORE of a reason to make you look like the fool you are. OR, you could try to be CIVIL the next time someone is civil to you. Your choice. |

michiganboi retard says:
"I doubt it's even her choice to go back on Idol for a 2nd time this season. It's quite possibly a flop-prevention ploy on the part of RCA record execs." Listen fool - Kelly's been at war with the biggest record company and mogul in the world and she didn't flinch. Why would she buckle now? She's already taken responsibility for the album - if it flops she's already said she'll take the heat. Are you completely fucking braindead? She's going back on Idol because the music industry is in a deep serious decline in album sales - off almost 50% since 2000. Every artist who's used Idol to plug their albums in the last couple of years have realized it doesn't matter what television show you go on as long as you get exposure to 25 million people to pimp and sell yourself and your album - last week Pink and Maroon 5 pimped themselves on Idol. Every artist with a brain knows the new radio is TV - and without it they won't be able to sell many albums. Kelly's going back on Idol for several reasons: 1. To promote her new album. 2. To promote her new single. 3. To promote her tour. 4. To promote herself. There may be some element of Idol gratitude from Idol and/or Kelly - maybe not. Kelly is an artist, just like any other, who needs to sell her products and herself. She's in the middle of a major career crises and a great performance in front of 25 million people doesn't sound like a bad way to promote a new album at a rocky time in her career - you fucking moron. |

Too bad she couldn't beg borrow or steal a good performance in the last 2 years. If she wants to promote herself she needs to start lip synching and drop 50 pounds.
