She looked great, coming out in a pair of short black shorts and black knee-high boots - she was definitely selling her sex appeal and the crowd was totally buying. She started strong with "Flat on the Floor" and the girl-power ballad "Wasted" but seemed to lose herself somewhere mid-set. The party atmosphere created by Wilson and Big & Rich slowly slipped away as Underwood's performance crawled from one slow song to another. It seemed the only slow song people were really into was "Jesus, Take the Wheel." The restless crowd started to wander for food and more drinks, not really paying attention to what Underwood was doing until the first few chords of Guns N' Roses' "Paradise City." Gotta hand it to her: It sounded amazing - better than Axl Rose, although everyone sings that song better than Axl now. The stellar closer "Before He Cheats" was also stellar - and almost overcame the 20 minutes of snooze that preceded it.
