ETA - I agree with Longevity for sure. Carrie's albums tend to have very very decent legs. Some Hearts had what, a 20x multiplier? Lol. Carnival Ride seems worse with a 6x multiplier, but that's still insane. Britney's latest is at 3x, Beyonce at 4x, etc.

I think that's a knee jerk reaction to people not liking something your favorite has done but I do think it happens frequently that people make up their minds based on what they've heard from others; luckily Carrie has good support from her label so I think she'll be fine.

Pulse isn't even a good gauge IMO of actual music fans... it used to be but it's turned into a cesspool of uber fantards and hater like trolls who do nothing more than fawn or fight so I wouldn't pay much attention to what anyone there says.

What kind of a place calculates predictions based on sales at one store?

Seems kind of odd.

Either way I think she'll do well but basing your prediction #s on 1st day sales from one Best Buy seems like a strange method.

on top of that, Illinois isn't exactly the biggest country music place... just think if they had taken sales from a Best Buy in Checotah, Oklahoma, they'd probably be predicting 5 million as first week sales LOL. hell, if they had one from Nashville, the prediction would be much higher too

I bought Carrie's previous albums but lately I've found her voice grating and I usually skip her when she comes up on shuffle. I think I'll pass on even hearing the album--I'm sure I'll get plenty of Carrie on the radio and television.

lol, regis pressed her on Mike on the show today. He held up a picture and called him the 'brute' or something, kinda funny. She smiled and seemed to not steer away from Mike like in the past.

I didn't have time to record it yet but someone has I am sure plus the fact they hosed my tube yesterday that had some of her stuff on it leaves me not in any hurry to get nuked yet again :/
