So at just over half she's at 211 K, so are we to expect maybe 350K?

at least!
poss 375K it's hard with country acts because they usually report earlier than most.... |

I think country albums don't have big increases on the final updates.
I think she'll end up at around 310k. |

Well, country usually have big gains at the beginning, almost nothing in the middle, and they have steady end updates. or that's how it usually rolls... I
wouldn't count 400k out just yet.

ya I know she has already passed Shania (how insane is that... our Carrie), but I'm wondering is this an all time record?

ok according to Wikipedia, Reba has 22 #1s on Billboard Country, so I think it's safe to say Carrie doesn't have the all time record yet.
eta - and I guess Dolly w/ 25 then! :o |

no doubt she will be a contender....

Dolly's 8th #1 came when she was 32.
Reba's 8th #1 came when she was 33. Carrie's 8th #1 came when she was 26. hell, Taylor's already at 4 and she's only 19 but I see her as more of a flash in the pan rather than Carrie longevity. I don't think country will be loyal to Taylor because she hasn't been loyal to country, and she'll lose fans over the years, whereas Carrie will maintain hers like the legends did before her. |

Taylor's talent needs to translate into adult hood for her to have longevity. Also she needs to get better at singing, at least imo. Have a mediocre voice
and good songs will only cut it for so long, especially after she loses her appeal to the younger audience.

ETA: Looks like SHC gives her more credit than I do. Mediocre? Her voice isn't even that good. |

I read today that in the 4th week SH sold 400 k due to Xmas sales or I guess black friday sales
I wonder if she will get a boost this year too. I don't see that much but half would keep a good sales rate with todays shit sales tomorrow shes on GMA performing again for the CMA awards this time. Yeah on the vocalist she's the best but I got a bad feeling. If Swift wins it, ffs. She might get pity votes from the fucking MTV deal with doucherapper interupting her. Then again the CMAs usually seems to take shit serious as it's not a 'fan' vote. Swift is just not good live and to me that's what vocalist means the most. |

To me Swift doesn't sound much different live than she does on her albums so I'm always confused by the "she can't sing live" comments.
She doesn't have a very strong voice but it's pleasant enough and it's improved by the fact that she writes her own songs and she writes to her
strengths. It's hard to imagine that millions of people are wrong and a few sucks posters are right when it comes to Taylor's talent.
I have no doubt Carrie will get a bump during Black Friday...almost every CD does. |

well, miley also sold a million this year sooooooo........just sayin'
and omg i just saw a picture of Miley from a concert last week. My niece just saw her like 2 weeks ago and these shorts are juts way way too much for a audience of kids that age. wtf! |

I actually don't think Miley is a bad singer either if you actually LISTEN to her instead of pre-judging based on who she is. she's certainly not
amazing but she's got a good/decent voice and again she picks songs that fit her strengths. Yes, the shorts are short...
The only really great singer IMO in the teen set is Demi Lovato... that girl can flat ass sing... and she's not doing so great saleswise so clearly being the best singer isn't the deciding factor... |
