I just saw a Pedigree commercial |

Guess whose idea it copied? THE WOMEN'S TEAM. Same exact theme with the dog in the cage and the voiceover.
They obviously rigged that challenge for Gene. |

I saw it too.
But didn't Trump say that they were going to use both commercials (but one was clearly better)? |

But didn't Trump say that they were going to use both commercials (but one was clearly better)?I don't see the "clearly better" one getting aired. I also find it convenient that they never actually showed the Pedigree guy saying Hydra's was better. |

Didnt they say the Winners would be shown during some Westminster Dog show...

Well I'm no big wig white trash Hollywood lawyer but I would guess Pedigree doesn't want to pay the fees to use Lenox Lewis' image and Trace
Adkin's voice on TV.

Is that all? I did Derek. It was when he was skinny too. I had to break his foot to keep him from running away -- but I did him. And he liked it.

I liked the women's commercial better at the time. I liked the "I'm a good dog" theme - had a strong and important message to it (though I
didn't quite get the one about the fat show poodle). As for the men's, I'm not sure what the hell the business was about taking a champ to adopt a
dog.
Fuck Gene, glad he's gone. |

Fuck Gene, glad he's gone. Ditto. I think he is mentally ill. |

relied on the celebrity to sell the ad which without the celebrity would probably fall.

I think that the point of the men's commercial was that a person who adopts a dog is a champ to the dog.

The women's ad was really weak in the editing. They tried to cram way too much into a 30 second spot. It looked really amateurish, like a high school video
composition. I don't think the celebrity aspect of the guy's ad was all that important, but Trace Adkins voiceover was. I don't think most people
would recognize his voice (or care, frankly), but the deep gravel-worn voice was perfect for the spot. I also don't think lennox lewis as a celebrity was
that important for the spot, though his celebrity would have been much more effective if they had identified him since I'd bet more americans don't
know him by sight than do.

The men had a great concept with Lennox and Trace and found the perfect boxer dog to co-star with Lennox. I do think that the women had a great idea but
didn't carry it out properly. The I'm a good dog message is an important one.

Just saw the commercial. It didn't really copy the women. The women had it from the point of view of the dogs and this one had a man voice over about dog
adoption while a dog sat in a cage.
