M?
M = Mother. Someone who is concerned with nurturing others on the tribe, preparing food, tending camp, responding with feeling to crises. Feminine personality
She doesn't seem to be motherly. With the exception of the whole Eat Yo Rice thing
, she has not been shown to be very compassionate or nurturing. She
does not cook or do work around the camp. She is confrontational and she doesn't listen well. She even tripped over the rice and spilled it... no mother
would do that! And in the recap she made some comments on the nasty gabon pears. A mother would encourage her family to eat them, even if they didn't taste
very good because they need to keep their strength up. The only real motherly thing she has demonstrated was not eating the rice after she kicked it over,
saying she didn't want to take away from the others.* Additionally she never targeted the other mother when she had the chance to (Susie). Her significant
relationship(s) have been with "sons"... notable Ken and GC.
D?
D = Daughter. Someone who is concerned with tribal harmony, fun, generally pleasant.
Seriously... Fun, Harmony and Pleasant are not 3 words i think of when i think of Crystal. Words like... Loud, Paranoid and Moody come to mind. As does Opinionated, Angry and Stubborn. I'd even add in Unpredictable, Emotional and Confrontation.
Crystal has yet to defer to (or be lead by) anyone on the show (male, female, father, mother, or uncle). Nor has she been shown in that sort of F/D or even an M/D relationship with anyone (see Sugar & Bob). And while Fang originally did not have a strong father, they did have a very capable Uncle, who Crystal REFUSED to try to get along with. I also don't find that Crystal takes direction or suggestions well... it has been shown to be her way or no way... for example, most of the fang boots were Crystal's desire... with other members agreeing with her... the michelle boot, the jacquie boot, marcus' boot, rooting through Sugar's bag, breaking up corinne & charlie, etc. Other players are constantly deferring to her... but not because the see her as a mother, but more because that's the way it is. She has the biggest opinion out there. For example, Ken directed Jacquie to speak to Crystal about staying, Susie flipped on Marcus at Crystal's insistence, etc.
Perhaps to her favour as a daughter... Crystal has not been shown to get along with any of the other daughters either... She has successfully whittled down the daughters on fang, and even though Sugar is still there, there appears to be a truce, but they are not ever shown together. But this one aspect does not fit the main criteria of the daughter... being tribal harmony, fun and pleasant. (Note - the editors have purposely toned down Corinne... and when Kota was winning, I'm sure she was very pleasant to be around)
E?
E = The Es are obvious. You could think of them as OTT in edgic in a way--except that their eccentricity colors everything about them. These people are just...how do I say this?...odd. A little weird. (Phoenix's observations.... E's are also extremely loyal, they can be counted on in times of duress. Their personality however may be some what unpredictable and they generally say what they are thinking... without stopping to examine what it is they are saying. They do not get along well with other E's)
Crystal has been shown to be in conflict with the other E's (Randy & Gillian). No position wants to be duplicated, and there probably isn't a lot of competition for the E, so to have 3 on one tribe... i think this would cause MAJOR problems. Crystal has been trying to be the (unspoken) leader... but not in a motherly way. She ran the tribe "like a gang." She is moody, loud and opinionated. She speaks without thinking and says things that get her into trouble and make other people uncomfortable. She doesn't have an edit button in her head. She was the poster child for "Paranoia" - she immediately jumped to the conclusion that Dan, and then Sugar, had the HII... even resorting to rooting around in belongings for it.
Crystal is odd... her behaviour is all over the place... she laughs, she cries, she gets mad. She doesn't really fit in. Regarding the * from M... Crystal says to them all... eat your fill, i don't want to have taken anything away.... even when Matty & Ace asked her repeatedly to eat, she said no. Then at TC, she flipped out that no one saved her any... This is not M or D behaviour.
I think one of the biggest E'nesses to Crystal though is her unwavering loyalty to Ken. For whatever reason, these two hooked up early (as odd ducks tend to do) along with GC, and after GC left... it's been Kenny & Crystal all the way. She targeted Marcus because Ken was threatened, Even those daughters who got too close to Ken are all long gone.... So even if you took this loyalty as a Mother trait... YIKES!... that's not a good kind of mother.
As for the other positions...she appears to be in a decent relationship with the only successful Mother. She has good relationships with most of the sons, and while she has targeted most of the other daughters... she actually hasn't been shown to have problems with them, unless they come between her and ken (who knew). We don't know what her relationship is with Bob.

So, Crystal may not be an E in the same way that Big Tom was an E... but more in the way Lil was an E. Maybe that's the big difference. Male E's vs Female E's. Oddness and Eccentricities play out differently for the sexes. Maybe female E's express it more emotionally than the males? I like to think of E as the number 8 in the enneagram theory... they are these HUGE personalities that just take over... They are leaders but not always successful leaders, they have to be seen as strong.
I think Crystal fits the E better than the other 2.
Oh and my final 4...
F = Bob
M = Susie
D = Sugar
S = Matty
And F5 - F7 (not in any particular order)...
S = Ken
D = Corinne
E = Crystal
Father Bob will choose his favorite daughter... Sugar, and mother Susie will choose her favorite Son, Matty. After all, she did pick him in the E1 pick'em, and they were part of the original Fang4 alliance... ken was not... and Matty & Susie rebonded / High 5'd over their mutual dislike of bitter daughter Corinne.
The next couple of episodes will be cleaning out the duplicates for certain... Matty/Ken and Sugar/Corinne. I think Crystal will go in the aftermath of Ken being voted out, she'll be too upset. I feel like she arc ended when Randy left... there story played out at the merge TC and the following... she is done and won't have to face the jury now.
ETA: Oh - and TA... good call on the Wacky Aunt description! that's exactly it.
And Lady V... I can see it... it's a castle door (i think... reminds me of something from the princess bride)
