It could be entertaining to see Edgic explode but I woudn't want to have to read through all the posts insulting edgic for being so wrong.
My theory on why an E may may win F3 but not F2 basically comes down to vote splitting. Typically Es are still adult figures and there may be a few who
don't want to vote for the child but really don't like the parent much either. I'm trying to remember which Es have even made it to F2. With F2,
likeable Es don't make it there unless they win final immunity. With F3 it is more likely to have 2 likeable players.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that my husband did roll my eyes at me when I told him how sure Edgic was about Marcus. He said that maybe the editors are just
messing with Edgic this season. Not that I really think they even know or care about what Edgic thinks.

MB sets his minions to read ALL the Survivor boards. He listens to what we say. We all said we wanted Jeff Probst to host the finale because he knew the
Survivors the best, and MB listened. The Amazing Race people read the boards, too, and have adjusted the game according to fan feedback. Heck, yeah, they
listen to us squabble and read our theories and laugh at us when we're wrong and are appalled when we figure out that Earl's the winner right in
Episode 1. They don't want that to happen. They want to build suspense and keep us watching. If we get bored, we stop watching and ratings go down and the
show gets canceled. Heck, yeah, they screw with us to keep us on our toes. The only thing that caused me to doubt that Marcus was the winner was what Jeff said
about him (i.e., that Marcus could win the game.). I didn't think Jeff would say that if he really were the winner.
Well, enough of my paranoid theory. E's who made it to the F2 include Lil and Twila. Was Matt in Amazon an E? I just remember him sitting under that tree sharpening his machete with that crazied look on his face, which is why I think he was an E. Maybe he was an S. I don't remember and am too lazy to go back to see how we classified him. . |

regarding Courtney...
so, i just went back and reread the china section and in the early days of China...most people pegged Courtney as a daughter... however, when Jean Robert left MANY posters noted that Coutrney suddenly became much more E. Miss Scamper even wrote this: "And it just hit me (smack, right between the eyes) just why Courtney and John-Robert were always fighting. Both are Eccentrics, and they were duking it out for the rights to the position." In the end though, it was still undecided what Courtney's role was... some still felt she was a D and some felt she was an E. (50-50). Personally, I thought she was an E... she was just a bit odd all around. what i found most interesting though was that these are the same conversations that we have been having about Crystal! So, Crystal - without a defined role - doesn't win. |

Oh, yes, I remember now. Thanks, Phoenix. I think E was the best category for Courtney, and the fact that she made F3 but didn't win supports that.
What does FF4 say? That if a parent and a child are the F2, the parent will win. E's do not win. The F4 usually consists of 1 person from each category (1F, 1M, etc.), but not always. Sometimes the F4 is parentless with multiple children. A known pair usually will not be in the F2 together (I'm not sure we have a known pair this season; Crystal and Kenny are the closest thing to a known pair, but I'm not sure the other Survivors know this). Am I right, LadyV? Have I forgotten anything? |

Well, whatever Crystal is, it seems like she's not very good at it, or we would be able to tell.
Everyone always seems more like a functional family member in the loved ones episode. We definitely saw Bob more fatherly, with Kenny and with Matty. (And Kenny pointedly being an ungrateful S.) There wasn't much of Crystal, but Bob seemed to be fathering in his one key conversation with her. (OK, fathering in a hidden trap sort of way.) So, I think we'll lose bad S Kenny, then non-traditional family whatever Crystal, for a happy E/F, M, S and D family final four. |

The thing is that Kenny seems to be F Bob's favorite son, which would mean MATTY goes out and then either M Susie or Hybrid M/D/E Crystal takes fourth
place.

From a strictly FF4 perspective, we're going to have parents and kids in the F4. The E would replace one of the kids.
I agree that Crystal is an unresolved character, and that puts her (like all other unresolveds from the past) out of the F4. Most likely: Susie M Bob F Sugar D and some other kid (if Crystal made it, she'd be here) As for FF4 not being relevant before F4, it's very relevant--it's how we can often predict the F and M and E (half) of the F6 and F4 from wayyyy out. |

I agree with Bob as an F but I'm still not seeing how he gets to the F4 unless he goes on an immunity run.
Thanks for the past seasons' F4 summary LadyV. Just looking at them real quick, there is an F in the F4 only a little over half of the time. I think we'll see two sons or a son and Crystal. |

Well, we have 2 Sons, and that's 1 too many. Either Kenny or Matty has to go. My guess for the F4:
D - Sugar M - Susie F - Bob S - Matty Kenny has been getting clever and making moves too early in the game. He turned against his alliance too soon. I don't think he can recover the trust he lost these past 2 episodes. Sugar knows she won't win--she has indicated she's happy making it to the finals. Sugar wants a good person to win. Jeff Probst says our winner is a "feel good" winner. That's not Kenny, and not Susie. I think Bob and Matty are the best choices for a "feel good" winner, with Sugar following right behind them. If I'm right, yes, Edgic will explode.

you aren't alone...edgically speaking... there are 3 or 4 of us edgic folk who still have Matty as our top pick (including me!)... If Bob won, however... yikes! the fallout! I still feel like the FF4 will be Father Bob, his sweet daughter Sugar, Mum Susie and her favorite son... Matty. But, seriously, I haven't a clue how it's all gonna fall out, I just think it's going to be messy messy messy! |

I loved this episode!! This has been a fun season. Bob and Sugar are my favorite characters, and I'd love to see a father-daughter F2, if we have an F2
this year. The last IC is usually an endurance challenge, which physiologically favors the females. Again, because of Sugar's father's recent death
(and now she's the only D left), we've been looking for that special bond to play between Bob and Sugar... I agree Kenny will be next to go because he
betrayed the "family" of everyone left (by trying to kill the father), and his plan to blindside Bob seemed to go over best only with Crystal.
FF4: MOTHER: Susie FATHER: Bob DAUGHTER: Sugar SON: Matty History: season 2 MSFD, season 8 DSMF, season 12 SDFM. Can't wait until Sunday!!

1) The F6 will contain an E, an F, an M, and some kids. (13 of 17 seasons) **CORRECT!!! Crystal (E), Bob (F), Susie (M), Sugar (D), Matty & Kenny (S) 2) F4 will not contain two people with the same role. (11 of 16) **Unless Matty and Kenny both make F4, this is likely to hold. 3) There will not be 2 Fs or 2Ms in the F6 (0/17). **CORRECT!!! 4) The F2 will not be two dads nor two moms. (0/17) **CORRECT!!! (follows from #3, really) 5) the F2 generally will not be two kids. (5 of 16--this is trending upward lately) However, in the rare case the F2 is two kids, at least one will be an "unusual" child with strong "adult" (leader) tendencies. ** We don't have any children with strong "adult" tendencies this time, do we? 6) The winner will not be E. From looking at the jury reactions last night, Bob or Matty have great shots if they make the F3. I would be happy with a Bob win. Shocked, but happy. |

I don't have a clue as to who the general public feels is the most popular survivor. My friend, a long-time fan who never misses an episode but doesn't
read the boards, likes Sugar the best, then Bob. She is mixed about Matty and feels Susie has "hidden" her way to the end game. She does not like
Kenny at all. Personally, I like Sugar the best, in spite of her immature behavior in the Randy boot, then Matty and Bob. I don't like Susie (mainly
because we never got to know her) or Kenny the rat.
