I'd love to say to any one of those posts: "Your DH doesn't give a flying fuck about this show, he just pretends to because he knows if he doesn't, he won't get laid." Just saying.) today took major issue with an Amazon wish list item Ed has for an ice shooter/vodka luge--claimed it was unseemly (cue pearl clutching) for someone almost 30 to want one. Yeah I saw that. I've been wanting one of those forever. I didn't know it was something you could buy at Amazon. I didn't understand the freak out - people drink anyway. This is just another fun way to drink.

I really wanted to respond to that--there is always one at my neighbor's annual disco party--and we are early 30's and up, married with kids, in a high-end neighborhood. I tried it once, because it was cool. It was mostly the moms who hung out doing frozen raspberry vodka shooters, fwiw. The novelty was hard to resist, I think. Especially when you're in costume.

They have what four days alone and some parties and they're falling in love (and all 15 are all in love with the bachelor(ette)? Then they split the couple up for several months. They fall in love with the idea of love. Then reality kicks in and they find out that the realities of their real personalities are a problem. The little things matter so much more than chemistry and love.

Very delusional to be saying I'm madly in love with someone after two weeks and proposing. I can't wait for her demonization when she boots one of the pretty and bland bois (Kiptyn and/or Jake) in the media. I doubt Reid would ever be the next bachelor. If anyone will be, it will be Kiptyn or Jake depending on which storyline ends sappier.

Not for a bunch of women to impress 1 man. So of course the men don't appreciate the girls because it devalues them all. Whereas I think it has a higher chance for it to work for a bachelorette like it did for Trista. Of course Jason might prove to actually be a success story. A lot of us just count him as another bachelor failure but if he stays with Molly then technically that would have worked out.

This time it was 2 months - rumors say certain developments over the season caused a longer stay in Hawaii than usual. Anyway, beyond the short timeline, the whole thing is so bizarre. They're in a bubble going to all these great locations, sharing 20 minute conversations at a time, etc. Jillian said that when Jason dumped her, she was really upset. But within a few days, she realized that the bubble aspect of the show made her feel like she was falling in love. I think it's the bubble that makes people think they have something real and then when they have to get back to their jobs, etc. they realize it was completely ridiculous. That's also what I don't get about these rejected people who come back to do the show - they've gone through it once and most admit it's a completely bizarre experience. Shouldn't they try to keep their expectations realistic? It would be great if Jillian just did this to make out with hot men. Somehow I doubt it though - she probably believes in the magic of love.

We should have trusted Jilli's judgement. After all, who would know better than Jilli whether or not he was there for the right reasons? We were told several times, by CH, other bachelors and, most importantly, THE EDITING, that she was a great judge of character. If we had faith we would have seen that he was sincere in his affections. Sometimes a real love story is just set before us, yet we choose to look elsewhere. This is surely a lesson we can use to enrich our own lives, n'est pas?

I will admit I bought into Wes' edit early on but have come around to thinking he's not such a bad guy. I thought they all knew about evil Fleiss and his manipulative ways from last season? Oh wait, these are the fraus were talking about. Is memory loss a side effect of Lithium? Like I've just recently posted in another thread, I really am finding that Wes is growing on me. I don't think he's the evil person some posters are painting him to be, and I suspect that he's much more likable than the edit shows. Of course he (and his PR company) will use his time on the Bachelorette - and so won't any other contestant who does anything remotely public. The person that wrote this probably was one of the ones trashing him until Jeremy stepped in. Other important updates: Jeremy informed them that cell phones, laptops and other stuff was possible and did get smuggled in during his season...so now Ed's Windows Live activity is up for discussion.

Yeah, a dude is going to jeopardize his fucking career for some chick he's trying to get through a fucking television show.
