And anything but a cirie win at this point is bad for confessional counts. And if Cirie or Amanda doesn't win then that S0 S1 S2 S3 thing needs a rehaul
(do you guys do that?).

The first episode is huge, though. Some people believe the first episode and the merge episode are really the only two important episodes anyway.

I have a fat lip, and then a couple of episodes later it's the whole bringing Alexis/Natalie over and everyone else is dead to me... We didn't even get a reaction from her about the tribal swap... |

You can't have it both ways, Relynn. You're arguing why Parvati shouldn't win based on edgic, and yet you're backing Amanda who is nearly as
bad an edgic fit as Natalie.
INV episode + UTR1 in the first episode (which is almost as bad as an INV episode), no confessionals in the first episode, no intro confessional, four consecutive UTR episodes. |

I think it's fascinating that looking at the ratings from last season compared to this season, Parvati's edit looks EXACTLY like Amanda's edit.
Quiet pre-merge, then popping out into the forefront post-merge, only to lose.
We shall see in a couple of hours. |

Yeah. At this point, Cirie looks like Todd, Parvati looks like Amanda, and Natalie looks like Courtney. The only difference is that Cirie doesn't have
many jury connections, except to Eliza, which could work to her benefit, given how bitter a lot of the jury seems like they're going to be.

On jury connections - I can't remember Earl having any jury connections other then Yau-Man.

No, Earl was in new Ravu with Rocky and Lisi and in the 4 horsemen alliance with Mookie and Edgardo and Alex, duh!!

Yea, but we never once had Lisi, Rocky, or the 4 horsemen ,or Stacey or Boo for that matter, ever commenting on Earl or his gameplay. Not that I can remember.
ETA: Oh, Earl was never on the same tribe as Lisi. She was voted out while they were still in tribes. Earl was switched to NuMoto. |

I was joking haha because DREAMZ was on Ravu with Lisi and Rocky and in the 4 horsemen with Alex and Edgardo and
Mookie so if you wanted to go based off of connections with the jury then Dreamz should have won Fiji (or at least gotten ONE vote haha!!).

I see Parvati as also getting a type of edit Dreamz got. He had the jury connections, but they were for all the wrong reasons.
Actually the more I think about it, Parvati's edit fits more in line with what Dreamz got in Fiji, then Amanda. |

A Natalie win means the season is almost a complete loss, Edgic-wise. It means the editors/producers were deliberately fucking with everyone by hiding the
winner until SHE declared she was ready to play. Highly unusual and only would work because it would be a "blindside," a fitting end to a season full
of blindsides. Hilarious as it seems, it's unlikely. The winner isn't hidden like that.
Amanda winning would be nearly as bad since it would signal that 1st episodes aren't so important. Plus, her game for the first HALF was rather weak. All we could look to is the comment at the merge (I forget by whom) that the game begins now. Cirie winning is a victory for a minority of Edgickers but not for Edgic overall, since she was not the majority choice. I still feel that her edit was designed to win her the $100,000 America's Choice because she failed to win the million AND MB & Co thought she was deserving for the actual moves she made. She failed to woo enough voters but her gameplay helped make the season so entertaining. And that's why her edit doesn't have a lot of connections to others, but does have a high confessional count. She was edited to appeal to the TV audience. |

I still think the whole "connection to others/jury" thing should be looked at because not all connections are good connections. Like I stated
earlier, Dreamz during Fiji is a good example of having all the connections but still losing at the end.
I think it should definitely be looked into for next season. |

Good point, GreJu. In Cirie's case, it's just one more thing, not the only thing. This has been a great season tho, no matter how it turns out. People
who enjoy doing Edgic will be back next season, and we will have some fun in the off-season working on addressing whatever needs addressing.

Yeah, Dreamz had connections to Rocky as them being rivals, Lisi hated his guts, he voted out Michelle because they didn't know each other well,
Edgardo/Mookie/Alex werehis buddies who he betrayed. He screwed Yau-Man out of the car and put the wheels in motion for Yau to idol out Stacy. Not good jury
connections.

Lack of jury ties could go either way for Cirie. If she's the winner, and it's because everyone loves her, then of course she wasn't shown as
having tons of ties, because then her win would be obvious. If she doesn't win, well, the lack of ties was because she doesn't get enough (or any)
votes. I'm leaning towards it being bad for her chances, though.
I'm beginning to think that the fire-starting comment was key. No way MB would let the winner of Survivor be determined solely by a fire-starting competition on live television. Cirie either wins one or suffers the same horrible fate that befell her on Exile. Parvati was also included in that exchange, but I have a hard time seeing her in a fire-starting challenge at F4. If Natalie wins IC, she and Cirie are voting Amanda. And remember that "fire is your life"--focus on Cirie--in the first TC. Yep, she'll be in a fire-making challenge. Please, let it end better for her. |
