Congrats to edgic for succesfully picking Parvati, the thread's first real success in the 6 seasons I've been here at Sucks. Now that the season's
over and I can read spoilers, will I find one saying Parvati's the winner though? Given what happened last season, I would not be surprised.

No, that's what makes it even more of an edgic win.
The first "Parvati Wins" spoiler came in this afternoon from Survivor Phoenix and Survivor Fever. Up until a few hours ago, the outcome was unknown. |

Hi, Quiddity, I was waiting for your once a year crybaby post. Yul won and had Edgic support, seems like so many spoiler sites chose Ozzy. There's been
success. I applaud you for checking up. Won't matter. Whatever. Any first year Edgician would see Parvati as a frontrunner early. Looks like ProbstFan
answered your concern too.
Grenade Jumper said If Edgic ends at the merge, then Parvati as the winner pick is puzzling, because aside from the first episode, her pre-merge is abysmal. No it wasn't, GJ. It was UTR, but it was personalized. Fat lip, what to do, little things. You don't have to be a star at the beginning. I whiffed on Alexis and her pre-merge was near ignoring too much. I wanted to talk over it, but the difference to Parvati as a character pre-merge to alexis is not seen by reading "UTR" on the chart. Hated the F2. F3 is better for one reason. They can't break a tie live, so once Pavrati got the next to last vote it was over. Amanda had looks at the reveal, I think she knew. She is a horrible social player. Or just that fake. Maybe more in a bit, but I think I'll peruse around a while to check on Quid. Misery loves company. Michael |

Can all haters please get the fuck out? Edgic achieved a great victory this season and we deserve to enjoy our hard work in peace, at least for a little while.
Let us have this. You can return in a week or so to begin accusing us or sucking or reading spoilers or other shit we didn't do. Until then, leave us alone
and remember that we got it right this time!

Wow--we (Y'all) did it!! Go Edgic!
pulling for cirie- and if she does, it was all from probst's "fire is your life..." in ep 1.But I've seen that comment MANY seasons, and noted it a few times. I don't think it's ever panned out, or if it did, it was randomly. "known pair" seems pretty antiquated now, too. China gave us a known f-3 that held from the moment Todd told Amanda (ep2) that Courtney would be a perfect goat to take to the end.Yes, if I had a nickel for every time I mentioned this...I wouldn't need to be on Survivor ;-) The Amanda/Parv alliance really chucks that "guideline" under the bus for good. I also get to repost something I wrote before China's finale. Reprinted here. Bonus points to francois if he responds the same way again. :-)LOL...but I wish I knew what you were referring to, without looking it up! :) I didn't think Amanda had a great start.. BUT, she was present in those first few episodes, she was just in the background. Once she caught that shark though she was front and center.Wow, I was her watchdog and I disagree--she had 5 MOR3s in a row (some with tone, most not), in other words, as "average" as you can be. And anything but a cirie win at this point is bad for confessional counts. And if Cirie or Amanda doesn't win then that S0 S1 S2 S3 thing needs a rehaul (do you guys do that?).Those are compiled by one person; I do think they are useful to Edgic, but if they're really going to be taken into account, they need to be voted on by everyone, like the other scales.

It was also known that Cirie, Amanda, Natalie and Alexis made it far.
But there were no winner spoilers at all. The posts in the Spoilers forum will attest to that. People were hopping on the Amanda bandwagon the past few weeks. MESS even picked Amanda to win. I'm glad I stuck with my episode 1 prediction of Parvati. It makes up for me getting suckered by the "Amanda Wins" spoiler last season. They fooled me once. Not this time! |

it was known from the beginning that she was going deep into the game.It was known here, but spoilers weren't needed to see it. It was clear. Congrats to all who got her from day one. I saw her, chose Alexis, but did my best anyway. Nothing is ever set in stone. But you have to watch episode one, particularly the first 30 minutes, carefully. You watch the pre-merge to eliminate the INV and OTT players, see who's viable at the merge and it's usually close to clear. Michael |

Francois, just FYI, you said you'd be sure to vote for Eliza, Boo and Earl this time too.

Edgic did great this season, no matter where the edit was going, I stuck to Parv due to editing and I know Edgic succeeded regardless if some doubted Edgic

Hated the F2. F3 is better for one reason. They can't break a tie live, so once Pavrati got the next to last vote it was over. The seventh vote absolutely gave it away but it was absolutely brilliant and the producers deserve kudos for totally pulling the wool over the eyes of the players and viewers alike. Hopefully F3 was just a transition thing to let them pull off a big shocker like this and F2 is here to stay with no surprises anymore (and seven jurors once again). You're gonna like Thailand btw--it's pretty good when you watch it without week-long breaks in between--and not right after an amazing season like Marquesas. Congrats to Amanda for lasting all 39 days twice and Jenna Morasca for no longer being my least favorite winner! |

I always think that doing Edgic relies on being objective and rating what you see, not what you "know" or think you know based on stuff you find
elsewhere. The edit will tell the story but you have to let it tell the story, and not be afraid of what the ratings are saying. Towards the end I was reading
spoiler and MESS - it was very interesting, but Edgic is the most fun to have when watching the show.
<3 Edgic! |

Well I suppose I should congratulate and tip my hat for those who stuck with and predicted Parvati for the win. While she was always up there in my book, I
just never saw what others saw in her that made her the #1 choice. I stand corrected but feel no shame in sticking to my guns the entire season with Cirie.
What I did find a shame was that Cirie was pretty much ignored and not truly acknowledged for her great gameplay this season. I actually felt good when she tooted her own horn because I thought she merited it. I'm thinking that in the future there are three possible winner types to look at: (1) Straight forward, strategic, male (2) Negatively portrayed female (3) Invisible female I sure wouldn't mind seeing an "older" female win but it seems pretty much impossible at this point in the series for that to happen. |
