Looks like Amazing Race 9 starts tonight on Fox Reality. There is one 2 hour episode tonight, and then looks like two 1 hour episodes every night thereafter.

Was there a worse opening episode than Season 9? The only one that I can think of being worse was Season 3, but at least there they had Donkeys.

Amazing Race 9 is one of my favorite seasons ever in The Amazing Race. The worst part were Wanda/Desiree eliminated in Germany struggled to navigate to Bad
Toelz along with Danielle/Dani in second half of leg 3. Danielle/Dani were yielded by Lake/Michelle on leg 4 and they were eliminated on a same leg.

I just saw a quick bit of it i have to say Danielle looks way better now then she did a couple yeas ago in those flashback pieces(the one that didn't make
all stars)

TAR9's premiere was decent, it was just stretched out way too long. I liked it more than TAR10's, which was ridiculously rushed to the extent that
practically no-one had any moments to develop what little personality they had - Peter/Sarah were the only team who really stood out.

Yes, that was Frostie/Joni. She is so funny and a really nice person. If they ever did mixed teams from previous seasons I would love to race with her. We
would end up being the Lucy and Ethel team I'm afraid.

Cringe worthy does not equal entertainment though. TAR10's was a bad premiere too mainly because I can't get over the Cleveland buddies shafted half way through the freaking leg. It was probably the most unfair set-up ever on TAR. Not even allowing them to go to the mat once sucked big time. I haven't watched that episode ever again and probably never will as a result. It just left a bitter taste about the whole leg and even the season for me. TAR11 had a weak use of location. Ecuador got shafted there. All you got were horse toenail clippings out of it. The only thing good about it was seeing some old teams again. On re-watch you don't even get that because Team Hybrid is there and you know what is going to happen. Back to TAR9. Aside for the Glamazons, Lake and the Nerds it was totally useless. Yolanda did have a few good episodes but the annoyance factor was way through the roof with the worst winners ever and the worst second place team ever dominating everything.

So I missed this whole season when it was originally airing, but please PLEASE tell me the general consensus was hating "Team Mo Jo" and the
"Frat guys", especially the self-entitled vapid lazy-eyed blond Monica, and the over-tanned, hairless ape (I don't even know his name... the half
of the "frat").

BJ/Tyler, Mojo and the Frats were all (and still are) extremely polarizing, so it depends on who you ask. I think Mojo was hated more than the other teams.
What I hated about this season besides the lack of bunching early on (screwing over Dave/Lori in particular) was that so much happened off-camera - the Hippies threatening to Yield Mojo because they didn't leave them money, Mojo pissing everyone off, and the like. |
