the trainers give seminars all over the country and have lots of agility titles, so I guess they know what they're doing
they explain it as: the dog can see the treat in your hand and knows it's coming, in your mouth they never know when or if they'll get it so they'll pay more attention. I've done all sorts of training, even did one that allowed no treats (didn't work very well), but was praise based |

yeah, um I just told Lola to watch me and when she did she got the treat.
then I put the treat in my open hand and closed it everytime she went for it. When she looked away she got the treat. Lola never looks at my hands always my face. |

Awww. He is just so cute! I took my beagle to training class and it didn't work. She is still a PITA but I love her. Anyone know how to make a dog stop
peeing on every rug in the house? :)

Hah! That you tub is hysterical!!
We use Charlie Bears for our dogs. For some reason they love them and they are small enough to hold a bunch in your hand for multiple commands. If you've never heard of them, look at Trader Joes. THey have them, and I think I saw them once at PetSmart, but only once. |
