Only because I mean besides palau its the only season that doesn't have a "favorite" and everyone remembers tom. It had drama and everything but its MOR and thats why it would be forgettable. I dont understand people saying exile. I thought it was the best season post ass, followed by china. funny those were the two with 16 contestants.

For one thing Guatemala was at least a new location. It had the 11 mile hike and its aftermath, the Judd vs. Margaret ADD TC, the Bobby Jon/Jamie rivalry, Judd's lie about the HII leading to Gary finding and using it, the blindsiding of Jamie and Judd, Steph transforming from a hero to a goat and Cindy's car reward decision. Panama didn't really get going until the last third of the season. Except for Cirie's maneuvers late in the season, the gameplay during the season was very rote conservative. Many of the pre-merge boots were simply let's boot the weakest link. Then once the merger happened, Casaya pagonged La Mina for the first 3 tribal councils (yawn) as well as Terry's failure to strategize with the HII. Finally after Bruce was med-evaced, the blindsiding of Courtney and Terry vs. Casaya (and in particular Aras) provided some classic drama to watch. Episode 2 of Micronesia was great. Joel seems to be an outside the box strategist. His maneuvering was interesting to watch even if you don't agree with it.

Fiji fits that description. Others a reasoanly enjoyable but nothing remarkable in hinsight. Like China, which everyone enjoyed after S14, although it featured a pagonging and few remarkable events. There is something unsatisfying about one tribe losing simply because the producers put them on the weaker team, and then a bunch of strong people getting screwed in a switch putting them in a minority. If you were a female on the strong tribe, the game design was perfect. At least we had a decent F3.

Posts: 5385 (02/18/08 10:59 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Micronesia has a shot of being the most forgettable - it's not the first to pit new vs. returning players, it's not in a new location and lots of the most dynamic and polarising players seem to be most vulnerable (Mikey B, Joel, Kathy for Fans; Yau, Eliza and Parvati for the favourites). The fact that Guatemala is the only season so far with no original players getting a second chance at the game It's much harder picking a forgettable Survivor than a forgettable TAR or Big Brother (TAR4, BB4) Except for Cirie's maneuvers late in the season, the gameplay during the season was very rote conservative. Many of the pre-merge boots were simply let's boot the weakest link. On the surface that's the case (two alliances of four just booting people not in their alliance) but there were some interesting conflicts set up. Hard-working Tina vs. cowardly Cirie, innocent old ladies vs scary quitter Shane, girls vs. boys, the craziness of the Bobby boot and so on. Even Dan's boot was built up to be something big. Compare that to Cook Islands or Fiji where none of the principles or big characters were ever in danger at Tribal Council until they got booted (exc when two big characters were in danger together: Jonathan vs. Candice and Lisi vs. Rocky).

Not a good season. China was pretty boring. "Nice" characters, but what the hell does that matter, the season was way less memorable than at least 7 or 8 seasons. Micronesia is pretty colorful right now. It almost has me in t.ears. I defintely agree with you on china, but not cook islands. I love that season. Its my favourite season besides the firrst 2.

Some hate it, some love it (especailly outside Sucks). I was hating it at one point, but looking back 13 is along with S9 the best post-ASS season. Yes it was flawed, but it had a memorable Race twist, and memorable Mutinty, and some great characters. The most strategic winner ever (Yul), the best survivalist (Ozzy), and the hottest female since ASS (Parvati). Looks like Parvati, Jonathan, and Ozzy will be 3 of the biggest chaarcters on S16 too (along with Cirie and Eliza).

Ami/Stacy/Michelle/Julie/and a lot more are better looking than Parvarti
