Well not that the shows 16th season has premiered, here should be an interesting thread. Of the sixteen premiers which premiere is the best and on the flip side which premiere was the most boring? Don't take in account the rest of the series, just the shows first episode.

Palau for such a shitty season has probably one of the best premiers and finales. |

I think exile island and pearl islands had the most boring premiere and survivor amazon had the best premiere, with christy and boys vs. girls.

3. Micronesia (Really dug this episode)
2. Amazon (Teased how great the cast would be and the girls winning is still great drama) 1. All-Stars (Whether you love it or hate it overall, it was surreal and incredible to watch) |

I agree that it's either Amazon or All-Stars, for the battle of the sexes or the first all-star cast, where people generally didn't know how the season
would play out.

Off the top of my head, seasons 1, 2, 7, and 8 are in the running. Just as I was typing that last sentence I eliminated Australia's. The other three are all worthy, but it's between Pearl Islands and All-Stars I think......I'm gonna go with Pearl Islands. You've got the
village opening with all the hilarity that came with it (Sandra sells Trish to a lesbo, Rupert steals shoes, Tijuana rips off poor people while yelling, etc.).
Tons of great character moments, a fantastic challenge, and a suspenseful lead-up to the boot.

I actually thought the Exile Island premiere was one of the best ever. After the abysmal Vanuatu premiere and then the two StepheME premieres, having a
premiere with 16 interesting people who all had more balanced editing was refreshing.
It was one of those rare premieres where they did a good job of painting everyone. In most premieres they only show us the hardcore personalities and the rest of them are still oblivious to us.

Big fat red X for WylDawg, EI ruled. The Outback, Amazon and Palau were great too, but the premiere people tend to forget is Thailand. For an awful season I
think the premiere was really good, filled with events like the Ghandia-drama, John's "jokes" and cool foreshadowing like girls laughing at
Brian's job and Helen mocking Clay. Decent at the very least, top5 in my opinion.

I thought this season's premiere was pretty damn awesome, way high up there. Borneo's was probably one of the worst; that season, to me, sucked in the
beginning, but I understand that it had to be that way because the show was new. China's rates high on my list because it sparked my interest back into the
show; after watching my first season (Cook Islands) and loving it, then Fiji and hating it, I had a really good feeling about China. And I was right; it's
definitely one of my favorite seasons, if not my favorite.

Borneo's premiere is the slowest and probably worst episode of the season, the conch shell transition between each scene was annoying, but of course it
would be a rough episode. Marquesas is probably the most forgettable. Australia, Thailand, Africa, Cook Islands,Exile Island, China, and Guatemala were all
decent but nothing spectacular. Vanuatu is easily the worst with 20 minutes devoted to a tribal ceremony, while fun to watch, left us with a "WTF?"
boot and very little character development. Amazon and PI are easily the two best, but they both had an extra 30 mins. For the hour long premieres All-stars is
at the top with Palau and Fiji coming in close behind. This one falls just behind those.

I loved the Pearl Islands premiere; my favorite part was when Jeff throws the shoes overboard as an "incentive" to have the contestants jump into the
water.
