Hi gang, it seems only fitting to use my 13,000th post to start the Season 9 QSF daily Live Feed Recrap thread. And we finish the season
with 15,000+ posts, 2,000 BB posts this season!!!
OK gang, it is currently 4:15 Wednesday morning. We have had the feeds up since midnite. We watched the episode today, but I didn't get much of a chance to re-run it to get these people straightened out. As soon as the feeds came up, we were treated to HUGE DRAMA. There were a LOT of people up in the HOH room. Apparently Amanda and Alex are the new HOHs. They will probably do nominations tomorrow. Sometime between a week ago and now, Jen told Parker that she and Ryan are real life boyfriend and girlfriend. Apparently Allison knows about it too (Ryan's partner).
Meanwhile, right before the feeds came up, apparently this alliance of at least 3 couples (remember, only 7 are left in the house) is spazzing out because Jen is not promising to vote out Ryan (who is not part of this alliance). Meanwhile downstairs, the guys NOT in the alliance upstairs were all talking. I am all confused on who is who.
Apparently the rules are if the couples don't agree to vote together, they are penalty nominated. So parker is telling everyone he will take the penalty nomination because he won't agree to NOT vote out Ryan and Allison. Jen is freaking out and everyone upstairs is gaining up on her. Alex is a bossy guy who later on just told Amanda that both ryan and jen are going up, no matter what. Everyone in the house does not like the fact that a real life couple is playing the game. They perceive it to be an advantage. It might be later on in the game, but it is very hard to survive early in the game as a target.
Meanwhile, we were treated to Natalie acting like a slut, doing a strip tease down to a g string panty and bra to soak in the jacuzzi. Allison was acting like a total drunk, but was quite lucid later talking strategy with Jen and parker. Jen and parker made up in the bedroom and both apologized all over each other. This was after Ryan and Parker were acting like two bulls outside eyeing each other on who gets to shtoop all the girl cows in the pen (Jen).
Later on we saw Amanda and Alex take a bath together, but it was, well, rather flaccid, pun intended. I get the real impression that Alex is putting up with her because of game, but as others have stated here, I am not picking up on any chemistry between them.
No one is happy with the heat in the house, they are having trouble sleeping. There are 4 folks all in a bed together (I think the pullout sofas are pushed together), but it was dark and I am not sure who they are.
Sorry about this not so great first report, but without knowing who everyone is yet and not remembering who the forced pairs are, it is hard to get the "insight" hat on, to understand the nuances of the vibes in the house right now.
The flaw in the forced pair game play, is that with alliances forming early, it leaves 3 couples on each side of the HOH team, without any room for gaming. In addition, it does not let people fluidly move between groups, because it is too hard to pull a reluctant partner in a new direction. And with the EX couple being the first ones booted, part of the producer's twist left the house right away.
Jen gave away the secret very early, thus causing all this drama and dilemma this first real week of the game. I hope they split up the pair play really soon, or we are going to be in for a very painful time of feed watching. Initially I liked this twist, but I didn't expect these morons to complicate it by forming early alliances that are not mobile and fluid.
