just finished Season 1...yikes (tho Tony being hit by something was obvious).
Loved the Wild World cover though. And I'm not impressed with what season 3 is offering...no Maxxie + everyone else? No likey. I downloaded Britannia High just to see what that shit was about...I need my Mitch Hewer fix. ETA: I don't know what to feel about the 9/11 musical...

Just enjoy the musical, for a few days after I saw that episode and everytime I see/read anything about it I can't help but start singing in my head

So I just finished the second "Series" it sounds weird to say that here. Fuck the writers teasing me like that! As much as they wrote the first
generation characters out they are all prime for returns, which would make my day.
As much as it pains me to say, dug the close up on Efy at the close. When does Series 3 start in the US? And, with Britannia High sucking the big one, could Mitch plz come back home? |

Greetings, all! :D My name is Donna and I'm helping BBC Video release the first season of Skins on DVD! I tried contacting the mods here to post replies but haven't heard back, I hope this is ok! As a big fan myself, I'm super excited to let you all know that Skins: Volume 1 features over eight hours of content in a three-disc set containing all nine episodes of the original British first season, as well as bonus video diaries and additional storylines! (endless amounts of Tony for me!)
For more details, check out the BBC America Shop Let's get a discussion flowing, yeah? I adore Cassie, she is a pill-popping anorexic ball of confusion, and is what balances out the other
characters. I like to think of her as the cream to my coffee! :) Who is your favorite character on Skins? Give a metaphor too! :D

Did you watch the premiere of Season 3? I thought it was a fresh start to the season, the characters were all amusing and witty. I especially like J.J. :)
he kinda reminds me of a blend of Tony and Sid...he's a cutie too :) Cook will have to grow on me though...

Just watched S1 this weekend. Loved it. I was surprised when the narrative style changed from the semi-essemble to a rotating single-character specific focus
with the rest of the cast in supporting roles. The rolling stories added a nice sens eof continuity. Great show. Can't wait for Series 2 to be on DVD (and
eventually 3).

I also loved the shot of Sid's old locker with his hat. <3. I just miss the old cast. It feels weird. Sid, Cassie, Tony, Effie, Maxxie, Michelle, Chris, Jal, Sketch were all so brilliant together. I trust that the show knows what its doing. I still found the writing to be brilliant with the counseillor woman getting tormented by the sex in the nurses' room. 
Effie: "I think my mom's having an affair". I loved the teacher too.

Second generation
Effy Stonem (Kaya Scodelario) is Tony's sister, and shares many of the same qualities as him. She used to talk very rarely, and saw a counsellor about this, but is now the leader of her group of friends; a very popular and desirable girl. Her best friend is the innocent Pandora Moon, played by Lisa Backwell. She is sweet and naïve to the modern teenage world, hence often uneasy about Effy's daring exploits. James Cook, Freddie Mclair and JJ Jones are a contrasting set of best friends. Cook (Jack O'Connell) is charismatic and sociable, but boisterous and not afraid to break rules. Freddie, played by Luke Pasqualino, is an easy-going skater who likes to smoke weed, and often gets caught up in Cook's troublemaking. JJ (Ollie Barbieri) is a shy boy who doesn't know how to deal with people, and uses his impressive magic tricks to make friends. Naomi Campbell (Lily Loveless) is a fiery, passionate young woman with idealistic views and lots of ambition. Twins Katie (Megan Prescott) and Emily Fitch (Kathryn Prescott) are opposing characters; Katie wanting to establish her individuality and Emily crippled by her own shyness. Karen Mclair (Klariza Clayton) is Freddie's sister, and has big dreams of being famous.[2] She upsets her brother, however, by using their late mother as a sob story to further her singing career. Thomas Tomone (Merveille Lukeba) is an African boy, who recently emigrated from the Congo. He is very polite, reliable and kind. Mackenzie Crook guest stars, playing psychotic Bristol gangster Johnny. Comedians Jordan Long and Justin Edwards feature as his inept henchmen Lucas and Benny.[3] Scott Mills said on Chris Moyles's Radio 1 show on July 8, 2008 that he would be auditioning for the role of a television presenter on Skins. Ardal O'Hanlon will have a regular role as the gang's careless Irish form tutor, Keiran MacFoeinaiugh (pronounced Mac-Phew). Juliet Cowan guest stars as the mother of an autistic boy. |

It's great to hear you're enjoying the show! :) Season 2 will be coming out on DVD in Spring 2009. Have you seen the video diaries? They're on
the DVD and they're awesome, hilarious too I might add! Anwar's is great, he is quite the player player! Hehe
