Of course I'm not peggging her as the winner, but yeah, I'm pegging her as the winner.

I just thought of something. I think we will know for sure soon if Cirie really is the Green Witch or not. The Green Witch is afraid of water (she is deathly
allergic to it). The spoilers point to one of the survivors who is afraid of water being tricked into going onto a boat trip. If Cirie is shown as the survivor
afraid of water then I think we can definitely say she is the Green Witch in Survivor Phoenix's clues.

^ Great job with all of this, AnneZob! I didn't even know about the green witch from Wicked being afraid of water.
I think it's possible Alexis could be the good witch that somehow convinces Cirie to sway the vote and keep her into the Final 3, it would fit the theme of the good witch not doing much (we haven't seen her alliances from Insider clips) but still being liked. The only question is whether the evil/good witch prevails. |

Wasn't Cirie wading back and forth across the water looking for the hidden immunity idol?

ProbstFan123 wrote: A good point. Well I guess we'll see soon if it is Cirie who is tricked into going on the boat ride. If it isn't I guess a lot of my speculation falls down :) And of course this is dependent on whether or not Survivor Phoenix actually really does know the identity of the winner or not. |

That's what made me hesitant about it being Cirie too, the fact that she and Kathy were swimming back and forth looking for the idol. I guess being in
extremely deep water can be a different story, if they take them out far enough. The only other person I could see in the bad witch role would be Parvati, but
she's pretty athletic and did well in the loads of swimming challenges in CI.

And *why* exactly was it Survivor Phoenix's avatar at the time? Possibly because they knew this would be the theme of this season of survivor. It's not just the Wicked picture - it's also the obsessive use of green that is a repeated motif in the end of game spoilers they are presenting.I really don't think the Wicked stuff has much to do with anything. As other people have said, that picture from Wicked was being used before the season even started, and as I said previously, I think the use of green is just to reflect the fact that green is the merge tribe color. |

Great theories but...do you REALLY think they go to all the work of throwing these little clues out? I highly doubt it...although some odd coincidences
here...I don't think they're anywhere near as deep as this...

Green is the merge color & we're ALL citizens of OZ | ||

All of these clues point to Cirie. The Green Witch( who grows up to the Wicked Witch of the West in the "Wizard of Oz" movie) eventually is defeated
by Dorothy's throwing water on her. But who's Dorothy? Parvati? Alexis? Amanda? I don't think any one is throwing any water on Cirie's parade.
___________________________________________________________________ Cirie may be the big boat/deep water freaker-outer this week. We'll see.
___________________________________________________________________ But everything takes place in OZ. Which is what even Alexis was calling Ozzy in her blog.
"Amanda and OZ" she calls them....A MAN is also spelled out by the way the cards are formed, as stated at the beginning of this thread. Which could
be AMANDA. Or "A Man" who is sure beginning to feel to me like Ozzy. Ozzy got to #2 in Cook Islands. Defeated by ONE VOTE. What if it's AMANDA
who's the White Witch? And not Parvati or Alexis.... ___________________________________________________________________ Amanda has had a much more
thorough edit than either Parvati or Alexis...Amanda and Ozzy are still together as a couple post-show...She made F3 in China, and everybody thought she
won...If A MAN got into the F3, he'd probably win. Oz. "We're all Citizens of Oz"Survivor Phoenix is saying, as is the song. All are his
subjects....The islands are certainly "the Kingdom of Ozzy". It's his natural habitat. Where he rules and thrives.
___________________________________________________________________ Then there are those other clues, the x-ray pictures of a V. Vee for Vecepia? I pondered
earlier in this thread. The only African American woman to win Survivor. There's ALSO another X-ray clue on Survivor Phoenix's You Tube logo, which is
yes, ANOTHER x-ray, it looks like to me of someone's lungs this time. And if you are an operating room nurse, which I think is Cirie's profession,
X-rays would certainly figure in your daily work. ___________________________________________________________________ So is this saying that it's Amanda
and Ozzy and Cirie as the F3? Would ANYBODY vote for a showmance couple in the end? I don't think so. And I bet that's what Cirie is counting on, too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then there's another clue on SPhoenix's site. A quote
from Billie Holiday about being an Original(Which Ms. Holiday certainly was) and about not following other people's paths...Which would be what Amanda and
Ozzy may be accused of doing. Following ROMBER...AMAZY or Ozmanda....I don't know. Doesn't ring right and makes you think of ROMBER.
___________________________________________________________________ Cirie is certainly an Original, who is following her own path for sure and not copying any
one else's game. And every move she makes we're shown...Ditto Amanda and Ozzy, actually. The three of them couldn't be more prominent and maybe are
bonding much more deeply being stuck on NuMalakal and LOSING time after time... ___________________________________________________________________

Interesting thoughts Orangeena. I didn't notice the Billie Holiday quote before.
"If you copy, it means you're working without any real feeling. No two people on earth are alike, and it's got to be that way in music or it isn't music." It fits in very well with the lyrics of the "Defying Gravity" song: Something has changed within me Something is not the same I'm through with playing by The rules of someone else's game Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep It's time to trust my instincts Close my eyes And leap... Whoever the winner is this season (well at least whoever Survivor Phoenix thinks the winner is) it will be someone who is playing a very original game of the type we haven't seen before. It is *also* not likely to be a UTR winner as this and the line "I May, I Might, I Must" is a very strong willed statement. Whoever wins this season will win through force of will.

Well, if one must read a ton into one card, here is my input: the Wicked card shown is the actual poster from the London version of the musical. That said,
here are some Wicked the musical facts: Elphaba (the green witch) was not afraid of water.... the water issue was just a malicious rumor. Dorothy didn't
really off her: taking the rumors that water would melt her, she let Dorothy throw water on her so she could disappear under the assumption that she was dead,
to live life away from the strife of Oz, with Fiyero. In the end, the Wizard of Oz turns out to be her father, and Fiyero turns out to be the Scarecrow. As for
analyzing songs from the musical: there is also No Good Deed Goes Unpunished... a song where Elphaba regrets trying to do good things because people keep
turning it around on her to make her look bad. It wasn't until that song did she embrace the "wicked" aspect, because she was just plain tired of
the crap. ETA: about Defying Gravity, that song actually starts off with a spoken bit where Glenda tells her not to be afraid (because the Oz guards were
hunting her down)... but Elphaba tells Glenda that she is not afraid... that it is the Wizard that should be afraid... of her (Elphaba).

I sense some criticism here about my focus on Wicked :) I of course agree that one should not focus to one thing to the exclusion of all else. I mean Survivor Phoenix chose the Wicked link not because the events in Survivor exactly mirror the book/musical but because certain features of it mirror it. I mean if the events in Survivor were to mirror the book/musical then Ozzie would be Cirie's father (in the book at least the Wizard of Oz was the Green Witch's father. If Ozzie=OZ=Wizard of Oz and Cirie is the Green Witch...) and that would be patently absurd. The key to teasing out which features exactly can be seen in repeated motifs and big fat hammers. I mean Survivor Phoenix isn't exactly *subtle* about the clues. More like a big fat hammer. There are some consistent themes: - The winner will NOT be playing UTR. They will be playing an original game. The choice of "Defying Gravity" as the title of the House of Cards, the title of the Anatomy of a Victory clue and the Billie Holiday quote all point to a winner who is playing a strong will game which is likely to be completely different from any sort of game we've seen before. - The repeated motif of the Green Witch. The card in the original picture and the obsessive use of the color green in the end of game clues. Some people suggest it is due to the merge tribe color being green but has Survivor Phoenix ever done that sort of hey, let's color the end of game spoilers a certain color because it is the same color as the merged tribe color before? I can't recall it. Why suddenly start now? Also one of the women in the "Spoilers and Misdirections" picture is Ami who has been spoiled as going out pre-merge. She doesn't make it to the merged tribe at all. Also if it is Cirie who is afraid of open water in the next episode that makes the link with the Green Witch far too much to be just a coincidence (in the book she really was allergic to water and died BTW). Color is one thing but a common fear? - The Anatomy of a Victory clue alone points somewhat to a Cirie victory. Personally I think all of the clues together points to a dominant strategic Cirie which would be a first - a female mastermind winner. I can't see how the clues put together can point to any other likely winner, *if* she is the Green Witch which we'll see in the next episode when they go on the boat trip. Of course in the end this all assumes Survivor Phoenix actually *has* the correct spoiler in the first place. Basically let's just see what happens in the coming episodes. If it is Cirie who gets tricked to go on the boat trip and is responsible for deceiving Ami, Natalie, Amanda and Parvati then it is likely that Survivor Phoenix has the right clue and my interpretation of the pictures is correct.

You can't really lump the book/musical together. They're incredibely different. In the musical, Elphaba has a happy ending. Not so much in the book. In
the book, she truly is afraid of water. She can overcome it in the musical however. Elphaba and Glinda have an arguable sexual attraction to one another in the
book, but the musical downplays that as well.
That said, I think you're all overanalyzing this way too much. |

midnightproblay wrote: Whether or not the book and musical are lumped together is insignificant because no-one is saying that Survivor will be a mirror of the book/musical and in fact it gets rather farcial if you try. For example the water thing - does it matter whether or not she really is allergic to water or not? No, what is important is the general concept of the Green Witch and fear of water being linked together. And even that is an unimportant piece of information until you link it in with the Green Witch emphasis in the set of clues and the knowledge that Cirie may possibly be the survivor who has a fear of deep water and is tricked into going onto a boat. Rather what the clue likely presents is some specific elements of the book/musical will be present in this season of Survivor. The elements of importance being those who are repeated in both other clues and editing. As I repeatedly say, Survivor Phoenix isn't exactly subtle with their clues. More like a hammer esp. if you have knowledge of other spoilers. Like the picture of Chet with the shoe. If you know the spoiler about Chet and him quitting because of a foot injury it doesn't take a genius to work out what that clue means. Honestly speaking I don't see why so many people have the inability to take a holistic view of things - this is not just looking at each individual clue, but the clues together as a consistent story and the editing of the season so far. Internal consistency within the set of clues and external consistency with the season as a whole so to speak. Taken by itself the Green Witch thing in the initial clue is just an interesting thing that you can't read too much into. It's when you put it together with the other clues and the editing choices so far that a coherent story emerges and you see where it lies in the grander scheme of things. Which is - as a symbol for a certain character that Survivor Phoenix can put in the pictures (we can't all be conveniently named after gods and BTW notice the Parvati card is below the Wicked card?) and also probably they like Wicked and thought the idea of a strong female mastermind player who is edited to be not so nice with a minority skin color and being afraid of water and possibly a white sweet female hanger on was too much of a coincidence with Wicked to not use it. The importance of Wicked in terms of predicting Survivor events is more to do with where the Wicked symbolism is used in the clues to indicate whatever player it refers to rather than in itself. The reason for the talk of the song "Defying Gravity" because of all the songs in the musical Survivor Phoenix chose it to name the clue. Also certain parts of it fit in well with the name of the blatant Anatomy of a Victory clue and the Billie Holiday quote clue. It is that repeated motif that is important rather than the song itself. Personally I don't see why people who criticize my talk of Wicked don't understand all this. It seems pretty simple to me. In the end though whether or not I am wrong depends on what happens in the show. Let's just keep on watching and see what happens.

Cirie as Billy Holiday | ||

"If you copy, it means you're working without any real feeling. No two people on earth are alike, and it's got to be that way in music or it
isn't music."- Bille Holiday ______________________________________________________________________________________ YUP. Cerie is playing a very
original game and forging a very original character for herself. Whether she's perceived as "Wicked" or not or a WITCH, but the FTC jury, I can
only imagine the impassioned FTC speeches she would give to the jury to GIVE HER THE MILLION. Can we imagine Oz(zy), Ablanda or Poverty giving speeches like
that? I hope she gets there. ______________________________________________________________________________________ And Survivor Phoenix didn't make all
those 4 women green. They were "Greened" in a SEEBS promo, and SP/VG just made vidcaps of that promo...And green is the merge color...
______________________________________________________________________________________ If Ami makes it through this week, and there is a merge at Ten, she
could be out at Ten and make the merge, but not the jury. Which sucks for her. I LOVE HER and wish she had more of a chance this season...
