Ya know, people might take your posts more seriously if you'd get rid of that ridiculous underline crap.

I thought Cirie's been negative for the past couple episodes. The way she's been talking about the fans has been pretty nasty. Plus some of her remarks
have her portrayed as rather self-centered. She's arrogant, way more arrogant than in her original season.

She's not any different from than she was in EI. Steph wasn't any different in Guatemala than she was in Palau. Some of the haters act like
they're bipolar and go through personality shifts between seasons. It's point blank the way they're edited and manipulated. Cirie's being shown
this way because she point blank likely takes the entire game by the horns like she's been doing so far.

I fear the males days are numbered. Perhaps a clue with four pairs of testicles in a jar of formaldehyde would sum up this season?

SurvivorFanGP wrote: Huh ? Cirie's edit is VERY MUCH different than it was in EI. Just like Steph's edit was VERY MUCH different than it was in Palau. And why did Steph get this different (ie more negative) edit in Guatemala ? Because she lost. And she lost BIG-TIME. Six to One. I expect that Cirie will suffer the same fate in the F3 of this season. |

I agree (sorta). They have to show Cirie in a more negative light in order to explain to the view why she (a fan favorite and lovable positive person) could
ever lose a jury vote.
On, the other hand, they could show her in a kind of negative light in order to put doubt into the viewers head about her winning chance. They may want to add a shock value to when she wins. Each way seems plausible, which makes her edit a point to argue about, but won't be settled until the show is over. This is assuming she even makes the Final 3. |

Oowatanite wrote: The past is not necessarily the future. The key is to work out what is the same and what has changed. There are two types of negativity - negativity to show that they lose because they are arrogant and negativity of a mastermind. Stephanie and Cirie are very different. In G. Stephanie was playing very very openly and she *showed* her arrogance to her fellow players. It was obvious. However Cirie's "arrogance" in some ways is more like Todd's. Both of them keep it hidden from their fellow players. Booted players who are Cirie's victims go "Huh? We never realized..." when they watch their boot episode. In a recent episode Ami and Tracey state that Cirie is all sweetness and light and there is something about her that makes them want to trust her. Tracey being the perceptive person she is still feels like there's something wrong and Ami was burnt in the past. The key thing to the negativity is (1) despite the negativity is the person still being shown as in control and (2) is the negativity only shown to the audience or do the players in the game see it too because I'm afraid its the players who vote for the winner, not the audience and (3) even if they see it are they likely to take offence. Also, if as I suspect Cirie uses Parvati to break up the showmance alliance, the person they will blame is Parvati not Cirie. Parvati is far closer to them than Cirie is so it would be a personal hurt. Also Cirie is good at keeping her hands away from the dirt. Ozzie for example thinks of Parvati like a little sister and we all know how well he dealt with betrayal from a person he didn't even like ("Mutineers are the first to die"). He'll go beserk on Parvati's ass when she votes him off. Amanda will remain loyal to Ozzie (they are truly in love and are still going out). |

Oowatanite wrote: Earl and Tom were completely different players than Cirie. They were edited as the alpha male kindly lord and kings. That is why the doubt came at the end of the season. The way Cirie is playing is more akin to a mastermind like Todd, Brian or Richard Hatch. And they were negative throughout their seasons. |

Anne:
Let's look at it like the editors would - with the knowledge of who the winner is. Ten fans and ten faves at the start. The ten faves include OTTP
types Cirie and Yau-man. Then, holy shit, Cirie ends up winning the game ! We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun ! Now, how do they
edit Cirie's win ?

Are you actually reading my posts at all? Ummmm .... yes ? You posted "In a recent episode Ami and Tracy state that Cirie is all sweetness and light and there is something about her that makes them want to trust her. I corrected you by inserting the word "NOT" in the appropriate place. Their whole point was NOT trusting Cirie despite her "sweetness and light". They did not "trust her" and then thought about it and changed their minds. They knew NOT to trust her right away in their confessionals. And let us not forget how they managed to find every scene where someone said something negative about Todd to make us think the rest of the players hated him while in fact they were friends with him. Now you are exaggerating. And incorrect. Again. "Every scene" ? Come on now. And while Todd's friendship with Courtney was hidden, he certainly was NOT friends with Jaime and JR and James and Erik and Denise. PG, maybe. Cirie is a naturally strategic player, masterminding boots from the shadows, using sly mental tactics. The only thing they are used to from there is the negative mastermind player aka Brian, Richard and Todd. Ergo, the negative mastermind edit for Cirie. This is just laughable. LAUGHABLE. Turning an OTTP Fave into a "negative mastermind". |

Getting back to the actual topic of hand, it looks like Cirie really is the Green Witch as I stated before (being a different skin color from everyone else,
fear of water, disliking the "wizard" Oz...). The Parvati card is obviously Parvati. So we have now identified the Cirie card in the "House of
Cards".

Holy shit. Oowatanite needs to SHUT THE FUCK UP. I can't decide whose posts are more annoying to read, yours or Orangeena's. I'm not seeing these Steph/Cirie parallels at all. Stephenie, the entire season, was put up on a pedastal by not only herself, but basically EVER other player. I think that that is a huge reason for a lot of the bitterness that came from the jury in Stephenie's season. They all wanted to be her friend, but she just wanted to play the game. Cirie is not worshipped by everyone in the cast, so she would have an easier time in the finals even if she backstabbed most jury members. |
