Based on the 8 Performers list, the #1 spot (with 4 eliminations) is probably a given boot for both guys and gals. See ya, Luke and Asia'h.

The #4 and #5 spots come in next with 3 elimination each, so I'd say David Hernandez and Kristi Lee Cook are the other two (not Carly or Michael).

ETA: I guess #2 and #3 have moved up to match #4 and #5. Really opens up the options for the 2nd boot there... but #1 is sheer death now.

All-time, Chikezie's in the most dangerous spot. But for AI7, the #7 spot has been the most dangerous - tonight belonging to Carly.

EDIT:

And the all-time spot claims another victim. And Syesha's spot is the all-time "Bottom group" spot for Top 10, so her appearance there wasn't too surprising.

It's also becoming more apparent how the first few performers are in greater danger, and how the last few performers are typically safer.

Week 9 spreads the pain around a lot, so it's hard to predict. But, I'll go out on a limb and say that the elimination will NOT be one of the slots a previous elimination has occurred. We'll be breaking a cherry tonight.

ETA: Just saw the David Cook in the hospital thread. Hmmm....

Hey, I noticed Rickey Smith isn't red and bolded this week (8 performers). Neither is JPL. Both left from the 3rd slot in their respective seasons.

Interesting stats, there. Adding them up and dividing by 8 to get the average position in a show (0% being right at the beginning and 100% being right at the end), out Top 8 rank like this:
