Nothing wrong with having your kids learn a second language either (though you know they picked "French" for no other reason than to be snooty and
pretentious, but then again how snooty can you be on this show where everyone sings the mighty praises of Manhattan and your townhouse is in Brooklyn), but
it's still funny to see that the older kid refusing to speak French.

Can someone explain to me why Redhead asked her husband to "get me a plane" instead of simply asking for a "plane ticket"? Or did she
purposely mis-say what she really needed just to make for a good sound bite? Because I don't see why she needs a whole fuckin' plane to fly her lazy-ass daughter to where-ever-the-fuck. All they need is a plane ticket.

Yeah, that was a WTF for me too. It was mentioned that the girl had RA, so travel on a commuter plane might be uncomfortable for her, but I had a High School
friend with an even worse case of it, and she frequently had to fly from Michigan to Texas and back for surgeries and treatments.

These women seem so much more wealthy than the girls in CA. I don't know if I like these women as much though. The ones in CA were just so entertaining
from Jeana's divorce drama, Vicki's over the top histronics, Lauri's troubled love life/family, etc. I do like Bethenny and LuAnn though.

I've only caught snippets of this, but it's actually better than I expected. Ramona and Jill are both equally trashy and immature harpies, and Alex is
just batshit crazy with her faux-European schtick and clearly gay husband. I haven't seen much of LuAnn and Bethenny, but LuAnn seems pretentious enough,
and while I still think that Bethenny is a career reality TV famewhore, she's had the best line I've heard so far.

I had to laugh when I saw that Ali was visiting Dr. Roni. If you listen to Howard Stern you'll remember Dr. Roni as the woman who followed Robin Quivers
around for a few weeks, feeding her a detox drink every 30 minutes and giving her constant enemas. Now Robin has lost a ton of weight but she's continued
with a really strict vegan diet and continues giving herself coffee enemas.
I can't imagine Ali continuing the routine at home, but maybe it could be a way for her and her step dad to get closer. |

Maybe its just me, but I find this bunch so much more likeable than the OC cast. I find myself actually liking Jill, Luanne, and Bethenny to an extent. Given
time, Im sure I might change my opinion, but for now I don't mind them. I do HATE the faux-french couple though. Ugh, pretentious as all hell. I don't
like Ramona much either. I feel bad for the little girl and the stepfather though, I can't imagine thats the most comfortable position to be in. He should
pull his head out of his business for a while sometimes, and attemp to make more of a connection.

FYI - the only way to get to Martha's Vineyard is via ferry or plane. Obviously, Jill thinks that she and her daughter are too good to go on the ferry with
the common folk. I can't stand Ramona. She is so freakin' immature. It is sad that her 12 yr old daughter is more grown up than her. I love the post
re: LuAnn. Totally true who the F is she to be so pretentious with THAT name. Bethenny reeks of desperation. I can't stand women who are so desperate to
get married and have kids and set time lines and rules for it. Gimme a break. I bet he doesn't want to marry her ass and they are broken up by the end of
the season. The pseudo high society couple are creepy. Could they both BE any uglier? The kids look cute thank goodness for them, but geez those two got
slapped with a huge ugly stick. Just cuz you are skinny, doesn't = hotness. They are gross. I can't stand looking at them when they are on the screen.
I like Jill. I like her husband too, but agree he should try to connect more with her daughter.

Instead of snarking on the extensive work the OC 'ladies' have had done - I find myself thinking these NY 'gals' should give it a try. They
REALLY are NOT camera ready. Some chemical peels for most and definately dental work for the fugly one.
Anyone know why this topic is already locked at TWPO? I wonder if they've been reading the blogs and decided their attorneys need to put an end to talk about veneers!!! Didn't Lauri get them to lock OC at one time?? |

Because the NBC Mods, er TWoP Mods, found some of the snark a bit "harsh". This usually happens with the RHW series... it happend about 12 times
during the seasons of RHoOC.
Didn't Lauri get them to lock OC at one time??Yup, and then some. Family members of Whorge's ex-wife raided that thread spreading all kinds of gossip. So the lawyers came in threatened TWoP, the thread was closed for awhile for "clean up" then it was reopened. Many were banned others were warned not to talk about Whori (Rocky Dennis), Whorge, and others in their family... until last season when it started again.

The NYC Housewives look fine. They don't need touch ups. No one NEEDS touch ups. I think it's fucking ridiculous that anyone would think they need
to get work done. If they are happy with their appearance why should they get unnecessary cosmetic surgery done? Talk about body dysmorphia! Most of them
are in their freaking 40's. They look good for their age and don't look like skeletons.
For some reason I like Jill even though I think she's full of shit. She's just as desperate as Ramona to be apart of New York high society. However, Jill has this fierce loyalty vibe emanting from her, sort of like if you're her friend you're her family as well. I can't see her backstabbing someone she considers family. But at the same time her mediawhorishness is a turn-off. And she'll never be truly embraced by New York high society because a) she's Jewish and b) she's nouveau riche. Cuntess LuAnn can claim to be part of New York high society all she wants, but there's no way she would agree to do this show if she really was. Women of her age and supposed social status have no need for the mediawhore aspect of this show. They are already too rich and powerful to give a fuck if their name appears on Page 6. In fact, they go out of their way to make sure their names never hits the tabloids.

Count me in as one of those who thinks its refreshing that these women are NOT as nipped and tucked as the OC women. The only one who is truly fugly is the
faux-frenchie. I think Jill in particular looks great for her age, assuming she is in her mid 40's.
