that's funny because I used to live in NYC- which is what originally attracted me to the show. Love to see the city and places I miss- plus the housewives
are great. Am also intrigued by the Jersey one because I used to live there as well. I imagine they taped (are taping?) near where I lived (a very affluent
area).

Designer, model, author and fashion editor Kelly Bensimon is a staple on the Manhattan social scene. A columnist for Hamptons Magazine, she is also editor at large for Hamptons, Gotham, and LA Confidential magazines. In addition to her magazine work, Bensimon has written three books on fashion, and also created her own jewelry line that is currently sold in top Manhattan boutiques. She splits her time with her two daughters between New York City and East Hampton. "I am flattered by the opportunity to be on 'The Real Housewives of New York City.' I feel it's a great way to showcase my personal and professional life," said Bensimon. The returning "Real Housewives of New York City" are: Alex McCord is a busy career woman juggling two children, a husband, and a thriving social calendar. Her children take music, art, swimming and French classes. In addition to her busy career and social life, McCord is a former actress and model, and currently a graphic designer at a major retail label. Bethenny Frankel, a single Manhattan woman in her 30's with a burgeoning career as a natural foods chef and active in the New York social scene. Frankel is a celebrity chef who owns her own company, Bethenny Bakes, has a health column in Hamptons Magazine, is a TV spokesperson for Health Magazine and for Pepperidge Farms new line of healthy foods, and was a runner-up on "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart." Jill Zarin is the quintessential New York woman. A regular on the Manhattan social circuit, she is married to Bobby Zarin, a successful entrepreneur, and together they operate Zarin Fabrics and Home Furnishings. Zarin is also involved in numerous charities and counts many celebrities among her friends. A permanent fixture in the Hamptons as well as Manhattan, she juggles her career with being a wife and a mother to her daughter Allyson and her stepchildren David (and wife Jill), Jennifer and Jonathan. LuAnn de Lesseps is a real-life Countess. Her husband, Alexandre Count de Lesseps, is a French aristocrat (of the Suez Canal dynasty). With her Countess title comes a great sense of pride as the de Lesseps presented New York City with the Statue of Liberty. de Lesseps uses her title to help with various charities while juggling a tight social calendar with being a busy mom of two. She also teaches etiquette on morning television shows. Ramona Singer is a busy entrepreneur. She owns her own business, R.M.S. Fashions, a jewelry line,
truefaithjewelry.com, a clothing line "True Faith," and is developing a skin care line. She and her husband Mario, a third generation jeweler, and

Southampton directly on the water. Singer is an avid tennis player and loves to entertain, constantly organizing dinner parties and social events.

Bravo is currently running a marathon-interesting to revisit the NY bitches. During one commercial break Bethany mentioned that her "wedding lasted
longer than the marriage." Don't know if the lucky groom was Jason.

If memory serves that new broad used to be married to Giles famous fashion photographer.. the one on ANTM that Miss Tyra spoke about. I read that it was an
acrimonious divorce (or it might have been with the last wife to marry this one) but either way the dude was/is a playboy of the highest order.
The NY broads are well at least more interesting than their OC counterparts. ALL of them work including the Count-ess (I still think she was a count at some point) and they are funnier and more self depreciating. I only loathed Ramona and she was so nuts however you could not believe how insane she is. I would welcome these women after the phony Atlanta women and the uber cunts of the OC. That said I am not watching Jersey unless they are Mafia wives - no point otherwise. |

I'm a latecomer to the HWs of NYC. I'm watching the marathon today and I am really enjoying the NY gals & their dramas. I tried the OC one when
it first aired and just didn't find it at all entertaining. The women of NYC are very entertaining.
Ramona is HORRID and I feel for her daughter, who is remarkably well-adjusted. I could not stand being in the presence of Ramona, but she makes great TV, because she is such a train wreck. Jill is the most "normal" and I also like the Countess -- they are the only 2 I would enjoy chatting with. I started out liking Bethenny, but she became more shrew-like and harpy as the episodes progressed. That Jason guy better run the other direction. Her biological clock is ticking so loudly, I can hear it. She should just visit a sperm bank and be done with it. And then there's Alex & Simon. It's nice that two hideous people can find each other and live happily ever after. I like seeing couples that enjoy each other's company, but they are annoying with their mutual clinginess of each other. *gag* I also think Simon is in the closet and needs to just come out and own it. I'll be tuning in for the next season of the NY gals. |

The Countess was fun to watch, she has a hard time remembering to be nice to the "little people" Bethany had to call her on that once. I was rolling.
I really hope they show more of the relationship between her and her hubby. There is really something fishy there. I think she's just his State-side bitch.
He hardly ever seems to be here and I bet he's got a woman in every country. I think that is sad. They seem to put on a huge production whenever he's
here in some lame ass attempt to beg him to come around more often.
Bethany and Jason were painful to watch, he had his heels dug in and didn't seem at all concerned that she so desperately wanted to move forward with the relationship. He needs to get on with it or just cur her free for God's sake. Alex and Simon...wow. They are like a bad car wreck. I just could not turn away. I too think he's so far in the closet even he has no clue he's gay. Their sickening display of love for one another is so disgusting I couldn't stand to be near them. Ever. Creepy. Their kids are in desperate need of discipline. They should never ever be allowed in public places. I love how they were called out on their shit by all at the reunion show. They are nothing less than a freak show, but I hope they continue to be so, because I do love to watch the freaks, why else do we watch reality TV? Romona? Ugh, I'd just punch her in the face. She's a cunt, plain and simple. the way she behaves is inexcusable. I'd have had to ask her to leave my dinner party the night she freaked out because Simon showed up at the "girls only party." I understand she was pissed, but she was just to OTT. She has not class at all, she acted 5. I absolutely LOVE Jill, she's a doll and I think anyone lucky enough to call her a friend is truly blessed. |

I love me some NYC bitches. If I had to choose a group of housewives to live amongst it would be these one by a long shot. I can't stand the OC whores
and won't watch the Atlanta cunts.

Of all the Housewives, I can only stand to watch NYC. Maybe it's because I've spent a lot of time in OC and hate those people, and I'm afraid that
some of those Atlanta broads are likely to cut me.

It's the same with me...I used to live in the OC for 12 years and in Atlanta for 4 years so I hate all of 'em.

Being on the west coast now, I'm still a Yankee at heart. I have yet to see Atlanta, and while I do like the OC train wreck, these are the bitches I like
the best.

Watching the reunion. It is going to be too short.
Ramona's -- I'm going to say it -- CUNTINESS really knows no bounds. She really thinksd highly of herself. Walking off the set like she is some kind of saint??? But, EWWWWWWW, Alex has nude pictures out?? She really is low rent. I really can't wait for the next season to start. I am now a Real Housewives of NYC addict. These women are great to watch. |

The NY housefraus may be just as bitchy & ho-ey as OC, but they seem a little more on the ball, a little more worldly.

Ramona's daughter seems like a really terrific kid. Some of us turn out great because of our parents and some of us turn out great despite our parents. Dad seems really grounded-maybe that's who she got her "normal-ness" from. It looks like the next season is going to include the original five plus a new "housewife" whose face looks a little horsier than Alex's. |
