Thursday, February 28 2008, 12:27 GMT By Alex Fletcher, Entertainment Reporter Big Brother producers have designed a "love loft" to add an element of romance to this year's show, say reports. Concerned by the ratings for last year's series and Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack, bosses want to spice up the reality programme and encourage contestants to pair off, according to the Daily Star. "It's the ideal snug for lovebirds to sneak off to," said a source. "We can either open it up when the show starts or wait until we see who gets together in the house and give it them as a reward." A loft was installed for Celebrity Hijack but only got used during Andy McNab's SAS task as an interrogation room. It is also claimed that Big Brother's Big Mouth is looking to replace presenters James Corden and Matthew Horne, with All Saints' Appleton sisters in the running to replace them. a) giant re-tread of te coupling in BBUS so I take it with a huge grain f salt. b) Boourns to replacing Mat & James. I think the whole point of screening BBUS9 in the UK was to get some of the viewers used to the ideas of some of our game play??? After all, this BBUK is supposed to be the one that is completely different, so adopting a completely new game might be what they are thinking the show needs.

Even if it's changing up the whole game and doing it the American way I won't be disappointed because they can always pull ANYTHING off and I'm sure if they wanted to HOH/POV things then it'll still be 500% better than what CBS can pull off

They really need to stop with this small house stuff, I know it's designed to cause conflict but I think all it does is make a bunch of them quit within the first 2 weeks. It's really annoying when by Day 9 there is always a dropout. They need to make the house large and possibly 2 floors like US. I know most will think it's a bad idea, but it leaves room for more private convos and just visually you don't feel you are just watching one room 24/7. I hate seeing half the private convos in the damn washroom cause there is no where else to go. Conflict still occurs in a big house. I think too that a change into more BBUS stuff would not be bad. These UK mediawhores are ruthless and I think throwing in the noms just by an HOH would be great. The voting could still be the public but making the power into one hand would be interesting to see. Like Mocha said, whatever they do will be great basically, even if it's a big format change.

The pure. unadulterated voyeuristic quality of the show has long faded, and they need to make in interesting somehow. Some episodes of Series 8 were like watching paint dry in sync with grass growing. They don't have to allow them to discuss nominations. The HOH can nominate one person, in secret, and then the rest of the house can nominate the second (or third/fourth in case of a tie) in secret as well. The Veto can be used in two ways - if the HOH's nomination is taken off, the HOH replaces that nomination. If the house's nominee is taken off, whoever was 2nd takes the spot. Simple.

I just don't want it to turn into wall to wall strategy talk. I like the types of convos they have now. Maybe adopt what the OZ season did last year where the FNL winner and their chosen HM could discuss strategy but only in the FNL winner's room for that weekend.

They love room rumors seem to appear every year so...but I do think they need to do something a bit different with the format, still have the public vote but maybe put in some of the strategy from OZ FNL or something.

Other than that, I think they need some fresh new twists, the only good twist last year was the fake eviction.. everything else (especially the half way house) was painful.

Maybe they could have a revolving secret door, where if you went through it you were instantly replaced. Imagine the look on their face when they found they evicted themselves for being too nosy! I also think this entire "UK rules" is BS. Perhaps we could have USA vs UK by bringing back favorites like Kaysar, Howie, Chicken George, Erika, Daniele, Joe, and even Dave! Have them play by our rules and eliminate the entire audience decides thing. Another thing they could change is the way they have an episode every day. That makes it hard to keep up with, so I think a half hour episode once every other week should suffice. One more thing, the house is too bright and these people are too fake, can we have some normal boring people in a house that looks like a regular house? Maybe get rid of the cameras to help this look. They can make Big Brother a radio show!

Darren fucked up the nominations (which actually made me like Melanie for once) and really screwed over Claire who is gone for sure now since she is against Craig. However I don't know if it is the editing or what but I really liked Claire in the first week she was there, but she either got to comfortable to soon and I just am sick and tired of her and am starting to find her obnoxious. It was completely different in the first week, she was a nice breath of fresh air to the house. And I so wish they went below six in the later seasons, it really changes the dynamics in the house and makes people I think a bit more crazy and desperate to do some things that they normally can't and wouldn't do.
