I'm curious, because I think he'd fit right in here at OT.

He used to be very yay.
Now he's just a bitchy queen who hasn't written a decent song in 20 years. |

I went to his opening night at Caesars (the opening for the public, not the private one). It was very good and worth the money. My younger wife was kinda
surprised that Elton had so many good songs and went out the next day and bought his greatest hits CD. You know an artist has had a great career when he
can't perform all of his most popular stuff in one concert.

Huge Elton John fan.
His To Be Continued...box set is excellent. I should post a pic of him in his Donald Duck suit, now. |

He's responsible for The Lion King being awesome. Ergo, yay.

Pre-Blew Moves Elton = a qualified yayI saw Elton in concert in the '80s and at that time the guy still did a great show--but it was mostly his early '70s stuff that made it worthwhile.

Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatters is one of my favorite songs ever. You kiddies who have never heard of it should download it and give it a listen.
Burn Down the Mission, Levon, Island Girl, Border Song, Madman Across the Water, Tiny Dancer, Honky Cat, Funeral for a Friend, Country Comfort. Damn. Good stuff. Especially the piano on Burn Down the Mission. He did this one song called Skyline Pigeon that I loved when I was a little kid. Oh and Someone Saved My Life Tonight is another one of my altime favorite songs. 1980 and Little Jeannie was when he REALLY started to suck. That's about when he had the big crisis because he was going bald. The Lion King is one of the biggest hunks of shiite EVER. Ick. |
