I wonder how this plays into the great "blunder." I also wonder how Jason knows that Ozzy planted the fake one and not Kathy, Ami or Cirie.

Whoa! So I guess I'm late on discovering this, but I just saw the Ep6 promo on TV and Jason calls out Ozzy in front of the entire cast at the challenge and
says he found the idol.

Haha, seriously! This guy is ridiculous. First he "owns" the Airai cave, then he shushes Jeff Probst. He needs to be voted out, stat. I was SO hoping
he'd play the fake idol and be put in his place, but I guess it doesn't happen after all.

Then I'd guess the "blunder" is Jason's calling Ozzy out in front of everyone... who is going to trust this dude now??? Stupid. At least
Ozzy can safely put the idol back into his bag and bring it to TC next time, just incase.
Regarding Chets injury. It appears on the last episode as Chet was lounging on the water raft that he already has a sizable cut on the bottom of his left foot. Then as he, Cirie and Tracey were walking back out of the jungle after their strategy discussion he has a slight limp. Wondering if the injury already occured but isn't being highlighted or used in a story line. |

But CBS website said "One guillable survivor falls victim to Ozzy's devious plan" or something so I'm kind of confused.New theory... Erik is the guillable one, not Jason. Ami wants to flip, but Erik ruins it by latching on to Ozzy. but then again... One Castaway becomes the gullible victim of Ozzy's devious plan set in motion on Exile Island It clearly says plan set in motion on Exile Island. How does this mesh with the promo tonight?

TVGUIDE online already said that Jason finds Ozzy's fake idol and that Jonathan's wound gets infected. Judging by the title, Jonathan gets
"medivacced" out of the game. Yet, there will still be someone voted out at Tribal Council, so two castaways will be out on this episode.

It's a likely scenario.

I am not a frequent poster because I am afraid to get yelled at, so please don't yell at me :)
Perhaps the web clue and the promo from Sunday night can be reconciled this way: Maybe Jason DOES in fact believe the idol is real? Then being the punk-ass that he is decides to try to take out his biggest competition (in his mind anyway)...Jeff asks how Exile was and the clown proclaims: Ozzy has the idol, all the while thinking he is the one that has it. Maybe he says this hoping that the tribe will turn on Ozzy and at least try to flush the idol out, but Jason (aka punk-ass) really thinks he has it...so he thinks Ozzy will go to TC and have no protection??? Also the big blunder could be the whole storyline and the fake idol is played??? Food for thought anyway and I am going to be so sad to see poor Jonathan go out this way. I am not a huge fan, but he makes great TV and it's a shame he has to leave for medical reasons |

Yeah I agree, I think Jason DOES believe his is real. Regardless of the promo, he's just trying to stir shit up. The website clearly says someone falls for
the fake idol, so Jason has to.

Sometimes the promo monkeys just make stuff up, so that might be why we're getting seemingly conflicting information on what Jason thinks about the idol.
The tactic of flat out lying that someone else has the idol is an interesting one, although I don't think Jason has the social capital to pull it off.
I've been trying to think how this could work: - people believe him. Ozzy is hurt because the idol is burned, but Jason is not particularly helped. - people don't believe him. Ozzy is not hurt, Jason is hurt by becoming a less desirable alliance mate - Parvati says something like "J, do you know how to tell a fake immunity idol? You just pucker up your lips and blow," all the blood leaves his head, and he now believes he has the real idol. Ozzy is not hurt, Jason is headed for a fall. So I can't see how announcing it to everyone helps Jason, other than giving him some momentary satisfaction that he bested Ozzy. On the other hand, I don't see much other way he could get much good out of his knowledge, since he doesn't have strong relationships with other players. I think knowing Ozzy had the idol would be most powerful if Ozzy (or Ozzy's allies) don't know you know. But even then it wouldn't do you any good until you made the merge (or were able to communicate with an ally on Ozzy's tribe, which Jason doesn't have). If he tries to use this information to build a relationship with, say, Eliza, she can just go wow, thanks dude and go on her way without him. If he tries to say he knows something important but can't say what it is, folks will just ignore him. I think his best move would be to just sit on this for a bit, and try to position himself otherwise. (He'd be helped in this by Jonathan's injury and Kathy's exposure. Obviously he doesn't know now that they will leave the game, but that gives him at least two plausible boots before the tribe could get to him.) |

Jason "announcing" Ozzy has the HII could just be the editing of a longer portion of a sentence to get viewers to watch.. Heck, Jason could have
said "I don't think Ozzy has the HII, 'cuzz I do and I'm better than my idol Ozzy LOLOLOL".

Yeah agreed. Thats what I've been thinking. Jason believes the fake idol is actually real and at the challenge puts a huge target on Ozzy's back by
saying he has the idol, even when Jason doesn't realize that he has a fake and Ozzy does indeed have the real one.

I think the most important information that we're missing is that Jason picked Parvati to be on his tribe, so that she could tell him if the idol he
found is authentic. |

Jonathan leaving due to a terribly designed challenge sucks. Hopefully he gives Jeff a good rant about how he's humiliated, dehumanized and totally spent. |
