Out of every performance you have seen, which stands out in your mind as the best between all seven seasons. I haven't seen all the seasons but the only one in paticular I remember is Carrie Underwood's Inside your Heaven. I'm sure it's not the best, but it's the only one sticking out now......I was also watching clips from X Factor (basically AI in England, Simon is a judge) and I really loved All By Myself by Leona Lewis (the name probably sounds familar to you from her single Bleeding Love). �

Hands down one of the absolute best Idol performances ever. "Good Mother" too and well most of what Theresa did. Other Idol performances I would put in the category of best: All of these are phenomenal in my opinion. I haven't included any from American Idol though so I'll share what I personally consider to be in the Top 3 performances of all time for American Idol.

Most overrated, maybe. I don't know if there's one best. There seems to be a little collection of truly extraordinary stuff that most people agree is good, and which one you think is best depends on your preferred genres and how much the singers grate on your nerves, or not. The vocals sucked, and it sounded like a cat getting ran over by a raging eighteen-wheeler semi. I love Carrie's "Alone", but it aint all that and a bag of chips. It's just a phenominal vocal.

Remove this ad This thread reminds me how terrible Canadian Idol is and how terrible AI Season 1 was. You may hate Fantasia Barrino, but all sentient beings not currently suffering under denial must admit her "Summertime" is the greatest Idol performance of any season or any nation.
