Forgive my ignorance, I haven't used a passport since 89 and I was 3.

Do you need the visa to leave the country? Wikipedia says that Russia requires exit visas when visitors stay past the expiration date of their visas.

sorry, will. that was a bitchy of me. It must be my inner Kelly/Christie.
These are the russian tourist visas tho. http://www.lidenz.ru/imag...mns/certificates/visa.jpg and they are kinda stamped/glued on to your passport. Do we know what kind of visas TAR racers get? I imagine its regular tourist visas? ETA: I found this info from the russian embassy My passport and visa were lost or stolen. You can get a new passport only at the Embassy or Consulate of your native country. Usually it is impossible to replace a visa, so you will need an exit visa instead. The Visa Sponsor should present to AFMS your passport, two photos, travel ticket with the fixed departure date, letter of request and pay a state fee. In addition, it is necessary to obtain from the local police station a report stating that your passport and visa were lost.

I assume they're given tourist visas but I have no idea. Maybe we can ask Tammy or Joni not that I expect them to be able to tell us. Might be one of those
"hush hush" production secrets.
As for getting the exit visa, I wonder how long that would take but then again I wouldn't be too surprised if TAR is able to pull strings/call in favors for it. |

Would they need an exit visa at all, since they were probably not in Russia long enough for the visa to expire.

it seems they're the ones having trouble with public transportation, meaning they are probably NOT the ones who lose their passports and such.I don't think it means anything: the press-release last week did two clues about the same team and used the word "another" unnecessarily: "When one team spends too much money, an unpaid taxi driver literally stands in their way of making it to the Pitstop, while another Racer's awkward attempt to fall in line leaves the Russian military laughing" |

One hopeful observation was that Nick and Starr are not jumping up and down at the pit stop, as they usually do when they finish first. Maybe they do make it
through the tasks, but do not have their passport to continue on in the race.
A stretch, but I am hoping beyond hope that it is not Toni and Dallas who lose their passport. Was there a sighting of St-ick at the finish line? Also edited to express my displeasure at the strength Road Block tasks at F4. This would have been impossible for the F/F teams to complete. These strength tasks should be detours only. The tasks this late should be a bit more fair in case of older teams or F/F teams making it this far. |

I'm wondering if the confessional Ken and Tina had after the NEL about sometimes you have to fall to the bottom to get back on top, means they win. Those
weren't their exact words, just paraphrasing. Or does it just mean they came back the next leg and survived the speed bump to continue on the race?

Mirna's part would end after she says "Charla, you do it."
I think Ken & Tina might win, but would that really be different from the previous 12 seasons? Aren't they about the same age as Chip & Kim?

For whoever/those who said that Nick/Starr may be the ones to lose their passports despite reaching the pit-stop... I'll say it's almost a 0% chance.
We know that teams have to probably get taxis/buses/trains to get to the pit-stop and if they lost all their money + passports, I doubt they'll even be able to make it to the pit-stop. I wouldn't be surprised if this team ends up being Philiminated not at the pit-stop but by Phil "visiting" the team at the place where they are "stuck" |

If Toni and Dallas go out due to the loss of passports, it'll be just about as tragic as Momily losing in Season 1 due to skipping a task.

I'm scouring the internet trying to find any indication it's NOT Toni/Dallas and sadly am coming up empty. All three other teams have reasons to think it's not them. Damn. |

Well it appears that Toni has the fannypack for a while and Dallas has it for a while too. I might have to do fannypack watch this recap.

It does seem like T/D in the previews though. Whoever says "We have nothing" sounds like Dallas, and the other scenes seem to show the teams frantic
and not stumped like someone who just lost their passports and money. The other team being Dandrew who was just kind of standing there, but someone mentioned
they're in the Finals so nooooo. T/D

dragoondaniel78 wrote:What if they are just stuck en-route and not at a task? Why not just pay the taxi fare and bring them to the mat for a goodbye. I know in previous seasons Phil has gone to a roadblock that the teams could not finish. (Pyramid and haybails come to mind) This is a different scenario than teams that were at a roadblock where film crews were already set up. BUT, I am never right about these things, so it is probably correct that it isn't Nick and Starr who lose their $ and visa. |

The preview
http://www.cbs.com/primet...d&play=true&cc=34 We see Nick and Starf and Ken and Tina together. Dan and Andrew and Toni and Dallas separate with no other teams around. No video of any teams doing tasks except for Dan and Andrews speedbump and Toni and Dallas doing what looks to be a route marker task and a detour. So, I think Toni and Dallas are ahead and Ken and Tina and Nick and Starr are in the middle of the group. As for who looses their passports, who knows. I still think it's Dan and Andrew. No money doesn't mean the end of the race. We had seasons with teams that had no money or lost their money and did just fine. I do still wonder if the unprecedented finish isn't a team unable to finish the last leg, because that's happened before, but a team unable to do the last leg at all because they're able to start the leg but unable to get out of the country. Who knows. . . . |

A Ken/Tina win would make sense. They're not a very likable team, particularly Tina, but the editors have avoided many opportunities to make them look
worse. They've also tried to spin the two of them as having a happy ending. Andrew/Dan and Nick/Starr are both edited as being unsatisfying winners, unless
they somehow want us to think Starr wins for Dallas.
