Hey Pygmy....I just did a casting call and was interviewed by a CBS PA who asked you questions about your app and made little checks and marks on it. Ever herd of that? I told her I talked to a PA on the phone about looking at every tape and she answered back that WE look at every tape. I thought these people were just peeons.
Hey Fok, that sounds awesome... Maybe they are traveling and doing on-site weeding... I am going to my first casting call in Boston next week.. If for nothing else I will have a blast, and get to chaulk it up to a life experience.
Hey Everyone,
Coming out of hiding! (I've been affraid that the "cbs gods of applications" would figure out that I am on here, so I stay off and just look. Which really sucks!) Has anyone gotten a "call". I turned in my app earlier than in the past. Just wondering...
CBS is accepting applications for an upcoming 'Survivor'!

I must be on drugs. I thought I read that LP is going to an open casting call. LOL. I suppose PoChop Wheeezie and Quartz Eye are as well. Good Luck! ALL SUCKS Season.
I can't imagine anything worse than trying to perform in an Open Casting call either... but I stopped by a local one a year ago and it did make for some very entertaining spectating.
You'll leave either inspired that you're not nearly as bad as all of those people or you'll see something that may spark a new creative approach to your own video. (You're likely to see a flash or two of nudity, too...)
Hey Ftroop.. I went yesterday and had an awesome time...
There were some really strong contestants and a lot of stale bread... I read what fokker posted about the PA's at certain cities, but people coming out were stating that they casting just said go and stop....
some only lasted 30 seconds..
I went in there ready for a 3+ minute triad.. I was wound up from working the line outside.. we were having a blast, when I go to go in.. they told me I had 2 minutes... I was like..What?
only 2 minutes... I had a brain freeze...hahahaha I couldn't decide what to keep in and what to leave out... then I was informed that the camera already started...Shit.. I was playing catchup the whole time.. and I bombed...
hahhahahaha
But they did ask me a couple of questions from the application
I can't wait to do it again. Like people mentioned in the other thread, the experience is worth it all by itself. Plus you get a chance to familiarize yourself with the studio (if you are lucky enough to go to an affiliate).
