Cody's solo was self-indulgent and I didn't care for it at all; I'm surprised he won. I think Mochi should've won, hands down. Maybe a producer
or that choreographer/mentor guy had a crush on Cody or something. Well, a bad outcome to what I thought was a good show for the most part.
And a big BOO for them not announcing who got 4th, 3rd and 2nd; although, seeing who won, I'm not sure I would really care to know. |

I'm actually not that disappointed...
Cody and Mochi were the two strongest dancers there, with Nick bein most improved and Miguel being way out of his leaugue. I think it was a satisfying winner...Just Mochi would've been a bit more satisfying. |

I don't dispute that Cody's one of the strongest technical dancers there, if not The, and he seems like a nice enough guy, but I think Cody has gone
through this entire show with a subtle air of "Everyone always loves me and I'm a golden child and of course I'm going to win". That's
one of the reasons I was really hoping he wouldn't win.
If he were obviously the only deserving winner, then perhaps I wouldn't mind him winning, but Mochi was equally if not more deserving. |

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!! I can't believe that cunt Nancy voted for Cody to win. But really, it was a no-brainer if you go back and read this thread. Cody owned the season. The others had their moments, but Cody was consistently at or near the top, and then that solo was exactly what they were telling him they wanted to see. I never understood the Mochi love. She looks like a cockroach, to me. Big-Armed Cody for the win! YAY! Now, when is he going to dump that girlfriend? WTF? |

Mochi, while she is very very good, in my mind she's to short for someone taking center stage. I can see her getting dance parts that require "special groups." She's much better than dance chorus but she doesn't have enough presence to be front and center all the time. Nick is the perfect second banana/sidekick. He's got talent and he's fun to watch. His smile truly lights up his face and the stage. The Gene Kelly comment was spot on.. and that's not a bad person to compared against. Nick is also the one who did learn and grow the most through the series. Miguel is just... delusional. "I'm Carrie Bradshaw!" Of course you are... and the weather on your world is always rainbows and sunshine. He looks like a crack addict and his form sucks. He'll probably end up choreographing crappy community theater. Edited to add: When Elizabeth asked if there was anything the dancers wanted to say, did anyone think Miguel WASN'T going to be the first to speak?

I am not a big Cody fan but his last dance was pretty good, so I didn't mind him winning over Mochi. I am so in love with Nick after his solo. Lurve him!

Cody absolutely hands down was the winner after that solo. Hell, it didn't even take the solo to sway me for him to win. I am a true believer that there
are other forms of performance than a big ol cheesy grin on your face and Cody proved that. He always danced from the heart and executed his movement
perfectly. He is amazing and especially after this show is going to go far in his career.
Mochi was great tonight but when it came down to it she just couldnt match Codys superb technique. I like her far better than any of the other females on the show and was glad to see her in the finale. Nick and Miguel were out of thier leagues. They should have been cut after the group number so we had a final TWO finale. All of Nicks dancing looks forced and his cheesy ass grin annoys me. Miguel needs to be groomed A LOT in order to be taken seriously in the biz. Like some of you I cant get past his looks to even appreciate his "dancing" Cody and his family was cute but he needs to ditch the girl!! hehehe He'd look much better with a nice built boy dancer on his arm!

Mochi's solo was really awesome - but I think she should have shitcanned the kimono entirely - it hid too many beautiful lines from the get go. Nick and Gene Kelly are a good parallel. I loved Nick's solo, but then I've really liked him throughout. Maybe he shouldn't make everything look so easy and natural. The Carrie Bradshaw ankle drama and that solo. All I could think of was the Spirit Fingers guy from the first Bring It On! Same type of stuff. |

Kinda annoyed the winner was spoiled in the thread title, but whatevs. I haven't really been that impressed with SIUAD, so it is at the bottom of my
watch list of shows I DVR and I was bound to be "spoiled" as to the winner before I watched it anyway. I just watched it and am ready to make my
comments.
1. The group SATC number was really, really L.A.M.E. 2. Miguel is still tragically unattractive and the one Judge's comment "Miguel is a Monster. . . " is so apprrpriate and he should not have completed that sentence the way he did. 3. Mary Murphy <3 4. Bummed there was no Oscar at the "grand" finale. Miss me some Oscar & wish he was in Miguel's spot. 5. I would have been happy with either Cody or Mochi winning, they were the strongest dancers. I was pulling more for Mochi, but Cody deserved his win. 6. Cody's solo was amazing. 7. The solos were TOO SHORT, for my taste. 8. Wonder where they got all the seat fillers? Wonder how many "seat fillers" even cared what there were sitting there for or they were just there to get their very small "extra's" fee for the day? 9. Aside from Oscar, Nick was my fave personality and who I would enjoy hanging out with the most. Nick wins "Mr. Congeniality" for the season. 10. If they even think of bringing this show back for another season, they better do some serious revamping. So much potential, yet so lame and boring. |

Yeah, overall (aside from continually fuming over the winner being spoiled for me by this thread's new title), throughout the whole finale I was
continually taken aback to notice how fond I'd grown of them all. Can't think of another show where I've had so much affection for the finalists
before.

She's every bit as hard-working and talented as him, but he has certain genetic blessings that she just doesn't have. That's not her fault. Cody was going to have a great career either way. Mochi is going to have to work her ass off for less money and for less time before she is put out to pasture. It's sad... I agree with Shirley that Mochi should have ditched the kimono entirely. Her dancing was SO MUCH LESS IMPRESSIVE in the performance than in the rehearsal. Why? Because you couldn't see all of the awesome shit she was doing with her body!!! I think that the Gene Kelly comparison with Nick is a HUGE INSULT to the memory of Gene Kelly. Nick flat out isn't very good. I think a better comparison would be to a non-dancer who is taught relatively simple choreography for an event. Think Billy Crystal dancing at the Oscars. Yeah, Nick threw in a few more challenging moves, but most of his routine was so dumbed-down, and even then, not particularly well-executed... And his smile was so goofy and one note! Puh-leeze! And Miguel was treated entirely too well. How can they give such a villain edit to somebody and even have the gall to show him saying that he is better than the other three and the only way they could beat him would be if it was because of his injury, and then deprive us of his comeuppance! I thought FOR SURE they were going to do a callout order and give him 4th place so that we could enjoy his bitchface sour grapes or his hysterical weeping or something... |
