Mariah herself can't even fucking sing "Forever" live and sound good. It's up there in the top 3 hardest Mariah songs to sing ever and she goes and picks it? W T F shocking. I love how the majority of my predictions were right, but all switched around.

Going first is awful for Syscreecha, but going third is little better for Carly. If they wanted her to be seen as doing well, she would go last, or near last. Please tell me we aren't back to David Cook getting praise for doing 90s rock versions of pop songs. One of the reasons I liked "Little Sparrow" was because it was a move in a different direction. Brooke's going to be singing Heather Cox's goodbye song? Heather was also a slightly off-kilter blonde. I don't think this will bode well for her.

Looking at David Cook's choice made me lift an eyebrow, but then I figured he will probably do it acoustic. I went to YouTube and put in "Mariah Carey Always Be My Baby acoustic" to see if anything interesting would come up. The very first entry is by some kids who recorded themselves doing an acoustic version in someone's bedroom. I just thought it was really weird song choice, until I heard that version. Maybe Brooke will do an acoustic version of "Hero" too. That could be pretty. I think Jason could do well with his version too. Carly's song might be great, or it might not. We'll have to wait and see. David A.'s choice will probably be great for his voice. Should we just write off Kristy already? Just kidding. Syesha will probably do well.

I didn't mean the Mariah song had been covered by a 90s rock group, I meant when he does the rock versions of pop songs, they sound 90s to me. I'm glad that's not the performance order. I was hoping Carly would get the pimp spot, but Jason hasn't had it all season, so this is fair.
