Another ho-hum night. Just think, one of these losers is gonna win this thing.
1. Brooke--only one who was connected to her song. Dress was horrid. 2. Syesha--yeah, don't take on Fantasia (except, well, Fantasia sucks.) 3. Kristy--I can't believe I have her in the top-half, but they all sucked, so it ain't saying much (belted-out notes sounded better than just plain singing.) 4. Jason--Like Brook, sweet. But why does he get praised for ripping off Iz's version but Brooke gets told hers is not original? 5. David A.--He picked a better song this week, but he sounds oddly thin/bordering on flat when he is not glory-noting (sort of like Kristy.) 6. Carly--The judges were right, she sang it angry. Of course, I think you could sing this angry and get away with it but it was supposed to be "inspirational night." 7. David C.--He still has the most potential but that was just a mess. 8. Michael--He deserves to go home for this one. B--Michael H--Michael G--Syesha (I just don't think she has the fan base) (although I'd still like to see Kristy go) |

I have to say I don't get why some (not all but some) people are still putting the exact same choices for ALL of Brain, Heart, Gut. The point is that at
least one of them should be different from the other two.
Brain is what you think, logically, based on all the evidence including judges' comments, comments here, track record of contestant and anything else germane. Heart is what you want to have happen - it might be the same as your Brain choice, but it doesn't have to be. Ignoring everything but your personal choice, the one you want to see leave even if it's ridiculous and unreasonable and flies in the face of all the evidence to the contrary. Gut is what you fear will happen. It's the opposite of Heart, although it might be the same as your pick for Brain.

To AMAI: I don't feel like the producers have any special feelings toward Carly, she won't take clothing advice and she's too angry, so I
couldn't foresee any monkey wrenching but you never know I guess...

Good point, BillNye. They've never really liked her, have they? She had a good week here and there, but she's not a chosen pet. Thinking on her choice of performance, what may have done her in was the introduction blah-di-blah. If she had said that sometimes you need to get angry to be inspired to take action, it would have prepared the audience and the judges and their response would have been completely different. I don't think it's invalid to do "angry" on inspiration night; it's just about paving the way so that the audience will take your performance in the spirit it's being given. |
