Mandy doesn't have the [whacked-out] personality that Mia brings, but her pieces are so much better.

^ Agreed. I think she would do fine on panel, though. She wouldn't be as big a personality as Mia or Shankman, but Mary would pick up the slack, and Mandy would give great pointers to the dancers. |

The dance number on IDG was so uggo. Lacey was great though, even if she was overly tanned. PS: I love that this thread has only been alive a day and it's on two pages. |

I guess I was giddy because they had many of my favorite contestants (Pasha, Travis, Dominic), but I loved the opening number. I loved the way they had them
split up into the various groups like breakers, spinners, contemporary dancers, Schwimmers, ballroom dancers.
That moment of Nick/Travis/Danny spinning was just gorgeous. |

Dmitry, Pasha and Anya also danced in Gloria Estefan's number. There may be other SYTYCD people in there that I
didn't recognize.

Opening number.
I think the dancers were Ashle and Ashlee (seasons 1 and 2), Travis, Nick, Danny, Musa, Cedric, Anya, Pasha, Dmitry, Melody, Donyelle, Benji, Lacey, Lauren. I may have missed someone. |

Thanks Unduli Clone. I know the ratings for this show aren't American Idol standards but the public votes and gets involved so I would think that the
winners would be having more success than they are actually having. Sabra was a great dancer..I would think big time shows that cast dancers like her would
want her and maybe make her a featured dancer or something. I don't know..
Count me in on the Kat love. She's the best live host judge out there..done deal. I love that she's so REAL...it doesn't come across wooden or put on or rehearsed. She's like one of us out there being sociable and sweet and her interactions w/ the contestants comes of as real like she cares rather than some rehearsed question..answer..moving on. |

Cat Deeley is one of the best presenters of a reality show anywhere in the world. She's funny, attractive, intelligent, and has a personality. She puts the
likes of Ryan Seacrest (famewhore par excellence), Julie Chen (robotic and bland), and that bastard who hosts The Bachelwhore (Chris Harrison, I think) to
shame.

Chris Harrison is alright. He has nothing to do on the Bachelor. He's very sarcastic, almost bitingly so, and blunt in interviews and on those stupid After
the Rose and Women Tell All shows.
Cat's definitely the best reality show host I've seen. She's empathetic, self-deprecating, charming, intelligent, and NEVER makes the show about herself, the way that ass Seacrest does with Idol. What always puzzles me is I've heard she wasn't all that popular in the UK. Maybe her personality is more suited to American TV. Considering how many fans form strong emotional bonds with the SYTYCD contestants, I'm surprised more of them don't have bigger success, but then the dance world is very small, and opportunities are limited. At least most of them seem to find regular employment. The alumnus who seems most successful is Blake, probably because he was already successful before he went on SYTYCD. Mary Murphy also had a cameo on IGB. She said she'd keep screaming unless people called to give money.

E Moch wrote: OMG, that was Donyelle? She was huge; I assumed it was a S1 dancer I'd never seen. And was that Anya between Dmitry and Pasha with the HUGE tits? I thought it was her face, but they were humongous knockers. 54321blastoff wrote: Yeah, the audience really connects to these dancers, and it seems like they'd do well. But I think they really do, for the most part. It's just that dance is a pretty small business, and not as obvious to the public as singing, so it's harder to follow the dancers success. I think most all of them do land dancing gigs or go on dance tours though. I know that quite a few of the S3 cast were signed to various dance groups that tour the country and do regular workshops. Oh, I also heard that Jaimie is in HSM3, probably as a background dancer. <3 <3 <3

have been one of the best pieces that season.

And when you see it on tour you can entirely forgive anything you didn't semi-like.
