^^Yeah but James had two of them and he also had the possibility of winning individual immunity. That game was his to lose and he did. Cirie was cutting people
off at the knees. Ozzy should have known he was sleeping with the enemy but then again it just goes to show you how stupid and cocky he is. He's a lot less
likable when he's not the underdog and Yul's pet. Yul was actually the one that kept him in line.

You can't quite compare Yul/Terry's idol and Yau/James/Ozzy's idols.
Yul and Terry's idols were much more powerful, someone who has the idol cannot be voted out for at least one vote. The new idol is much more risky, and can't, in any way, be used like the old idol. Also, Yul's move wasn't that smart, at fucking all, Jonathan's best move would've just been to vote someone other then Yul, and later, when there are just two members of Aitu, put three votes on Yul and two on the other player to flush out the idol and keep the numbers. Heck, even if Yul was the only one left standing, Jonathan could've put four votes on Yul while he would've just voted for Nate. The only one who ever used his Idol wisely is Yau, EVER, he told earl because they promised to help each other, and known quite well that if he would'nt tell him they would just risk themselves. And I don't believe that the only reason Yau known when to use the idol was Stacy's slip, that's just edit, he also said a lot earlier that he had a "bad vibe" in the camp. |

the idol is great for making people not use it and look like dumb asses when they get voted off

Like others have said with THIS incarnation of the HII it's best to tell no one except MAYBE your absolute most loyal, closest ally. You do not tell more
than 1 person especially early in the game. Of course it's going to get around. The second O found it I said "Well just keep your mouth shut about it
and you'll be fine for a while.". Then seconds later he's blabbing to 3 different people. DUN.
An aware-enough person should either know they're in danger for being on the outs with the group, in a minority alliance, a physical threat, social threat whatnot. If they do have allies you can rely partially on them tipping you of that you're in danger without them even knowing you have the Idol. It's best if they don't since anyone who knows you have it can just tell you you're in danger when in fact you're not. I'm surprised no one's tried this. Flush it out when it's not needed. Of course that'd only work with this version of the Idol. Was China the 1st time this new version was used? Or was that Fiji? |

It was during Fiji that the new rules for the HII were placed.

Thought so. Thanks. Much needed twist too. Glad they've kept it. Took them long enough though
Still waiting for someone to surprise the fuck out of everyone and pull that sucker out with no one expecting it. |

Uh... even if Ozzy hadn't told a soul, it came out at the previous TC that he must have it. Now, sure, he then stupidly admitted it at that TC, but I think
everyone there was convinced what Eliza said was the truth.

The thing is that Ozzy should have known this is the best opportunity for them to flush the idol. He should have used Game Theory to make his best move based
on what their best move is.

If Jonathan was smart, he would have voted for Yul anyway and forced Yul to burn the idol. Same result - Nate's gone... only now Yul doesn't have an idolNo, because Jonathan knew he was on the outside of both the Aitu alliance and the Raro alliance. If Yul had managed to find out before TC that Jonathan was intending to vote for Yul all along, the Aitu 4 would've switched their votes from Nate to him. If they didn't find out until TC and Nate would've gone home anyway, then the Aitus would've seen from the handwriting that Jonathan had sold them out and forced Yul to play the idol. Which means the Aitu 4 would've gone after Jonathan the very next TC. Assuming the Aitus couldn't have persuaded any of the Raros to swing their way to vote out Jonathan (and considering he was on the outside of the Raro bubble of Parvati/Adam/Candice, that scenario wasn't likely) there would've been either a 4-3-1 vote (if someone voted for neither Jonathan or Yul) and Jonathan would've gone, or it would've been a tied vote. Everyone but Yul and Jonathan would've had to vote again, with a 50% chance of the jury refusing to change over their votes (and if anyone would've changed their vote in that situation it would've been a Raro voting for Jonathan, meaning he goes home). And if the jury was deadlocked then it would've gone down to a fire challenge with a 50% chance of Jonathan going home. Jonathan didn't want to take the chance that if it came down to a tie and a revote that the Raros wouldn't seize the opportunity to get rid of him. |

I think a woman could do sneaky things with one. There wouldn't be the immediate danger of a physical threat with a woman, and she could slide to the end,
or something like that.

I would have like it better if a fake HII was a well-done booby trap worthy of Vietnam War.

Actually, if there had been a tie at a final 8 TC, the purple rock would've been used. Assuming Jonathan was one of the people with 4 votes, he
would've been safe from elimination at that TC anyway.
