I don't try to over-think it and try to guess what it all means/where they're going too much. It makes it much less fun for me. It's also a no win situation: if you guess right then it's predictable, if you're wrong then what they do is probably less interesting to you then what you came up with.

But i thinks its a fallacy to assume that the writers came up with the time skipping thing ONLY as a way to show us the Islands history. Cause they arent merely using it to show us stuff, but they are using it as an explanation of everythign that is, and has been, going on! So for there to be no other function to the timetravel thing OTHER than a cool way to do island FB's...that would be bizarre. I just think its a convenient/smart way for the writers to show island FB's AND present the conceit and underpinnings of the show. And just to express it further, i have never seen a tv show or movie or read a book were time travel was used and WASNT a significant factor in what the entire story was about in the first place. It would really be odd if timetravel was brought in in season 5 just to be cool and show the island FB's...and season 6 never brings up the Islands time traveling or Desmonds abilities with time, ever again! I mean, i think this is what we are dealing with for the rest of the show...so it MUST be part of a huge complicated explanation. Lost showing us the island skipping through time in season 5 was Lost coming out of the closet and waving its freak flag high (parphrased from Lindelof) The skipping is what Lost has been leading up to for 4 seasons. (the whsipers, the events, the reason the losties crashed there and survived i the first place) Its kinda a huge part of what the show is about. So there is a big explanation to the skipping :P Just because it ALSO is a cool way to show character development and history..doesnt make it any less important to the plot as a whole. I've forgotten a lot of the details of the show though.

Part one - May 13th and Part two - May 30th. I don't want Lost ending earlier but I'd kinda like having the finale as a two hour show. Hmm. Can't have it both ways. I can post the schedule if noone minds seeing the titles to the remaining episodes.

I was just coming over to make the correction: The Incident will be a 2-hour finale airing on the 13th. No May 20th episode. I think that's AI finale, which is why Lost was given a two hour finale on the 13th. (Thanks Wisc!)

I wouldn't scroll down any because ya might see gasp spoilers! 1) Confirmed that it was interesting fans did guess Miles was Chang's son when they first introduced Miles and they did not change the overall story after they realized we knew 2) The Variable and The Constant are indeed connected 3) Faraday Centric and feel it is the best episode of the season. 4) Fun question why Sawyer wear shirts. They have some funny answers. 5) Three facts about Sawyer Damon likes: Wears Glasses (thinking-man Sawyer), Ambidextrous (can use both left and right hands), and likes to hit people without any notice 6) There were two helicopters - 1 Scout (Naomi's) and the other helicopter was Frank's that eventually crashes with the O6 7) Reference that at LEAST one fan was thankful about the $3.2 Million explanation 8) Episode 5x15 - We will learn more about Phil 9) Ben's favorite show is Nightline - They then joke about it 10) They read an email from a fan that is mad they used the line "Ewoks Suck", they then joke and chat about it. They also confirm the writers debated that line for hours. 11) Are we going to learn about Faraday's memory issues?? We know the results of the tests/experiments on his "girlfriend" Theresa, so it possible his memory loss is a side effect as well. Carlton says maybe Faraday returns to the island to see if the healing aspects help him and that we will learn more in the next episode. 12) Confirm that the Dharma Beer cans that have flip-tops were created by Dharma (they are being sarcastic and joke about have an episode dedicated to beer)
