On Its Way: Real Housewives of NJ

The Real Housewives reality series is finding its next attention-seeking subjects in none other than . . . wait for it . . . New Jersey! That's right, a wealthy, not-yet-released community in the Garden State will soon be invaded by Bravo's camera crews. But don't worry, both the Orange County and NYC versions have been OK'd for another season. Let's just pray it'll turn into a full-fledged competition à la Road Rules, with the New Jersey and NYC housewives going head-to-head. [NY Observer]

I think especially after The Soprano's, people are interested in the mob presence of northern NJ.

I wonder where they will film, Upper Saddle River could be a possibility. Maybe Montclair or a town like that.

I would guess Harding, NJ since that's some of the wealthiest families in the state.

Always liked Rosalie because she accepted that her husband was a mob boss and didn't apologize for it, whereas Carm spent most of her marriage in all kinds of denial. Perhaps we'll get both.

Oh hell ya I'm watching this new show. Although I wish they would do something different like Real Housewives of Compton or Real Housewives of East L.A.

Danielle, a divorcee who appeared to be in her 40s, revealed a hard-partying, hedonistic past, claiming to have had steamy makeout sessions with Mick Jagger and Prince. She rated Prince the better kisser. "I was surprised by that because Mick has those lips," she said.

She also said she has an ex-husband who is very rich and that she was engaged 19 times before she got married.

Dina, who also seemed over 40, showed off the heavily decorated interior of her modest suburban home.

"Everything is onyx, which is ridiculous to put in a regular house," she conceded.

Bravo officials wouldn't say when "Real Housewives of New Jersey" would premiere.

I think they are sisters.

That is where my wife grew up and where my in-laws still live.

There home is worth about 1.2 million. Not bad seeing that they bought it for about 10% of that way back in the 80's.

Ditto.

I'll also add, I don't get the hype of any of the other housewives shows, although I only attempted to watch one of the first episodes of the Orange County one a year or so back and wasn't interested, so I never watched any of the spinoffs either. I guess there is an audience, though, as they keep making more. I would expect the New Jersey one to be extra trashy & extra gaudy.
