You can complain all you want about that Kirblar, but the fact of the matter is it worked fine for 12 seasons. And we have a large sample clearly showing us that winning the final challenge does not win you the game, not even half the winners of that challenge won the game. Now certainly the case can be made that in the last few years they were getting away from the pure endurance challenges (Vanuatu, Guatemala and Exile Island were all clearly biased final challenges towards a strong man, tall person and fit woman respectively), but the solution to that is to make the challenge fairer by making it more like the 'hands on idol' or 'stand on pole' Palau final challenge. Not by this ridiculous notion that the final challenge has to be axed entirely.

I too think that the axing of the F3 was probably a knee jerk reaction on their beloved Terry coming in third place. That they kept it permanently was pure absurdity. Why did Terry get voted out third? To be honest, the guy shouldnt' have even made it that far. It made it that far due to a HII that no one else in the game had and because multiple individual immunities were tilted in his favor (all but the last! LoL, great timing!) Why did Rafe get voted out third? Because he was stupid enough to keep Danni around at F4 instead of voting her out. Why did Rob C finish third? Because he voted out Christy at F6 instead of Jenna. Why did Kathy finish third? Because she didn't use the General to her advantage when she had the chance. All these people screwed up at some point in the game. Because of that, they positioned themselves poorly for the F3 and lost the game because of it. That's their fault. Not a challenge's fault. The solution to this 'best player finishes third' stuff, which has always been bullshit in the first place (the best player finishes first each season) is for these players to play the game better and for them to remove any biases from the final challenge. F3 didn't fix blow out finishes, Fiji had the biggest blow out vote in the history of the game. F3 didn't fix good players getting voted out just before facing the jury either, as players like Yauman and Peih Gee got voted out shortly before the jury.

No questions asked with me, F3 sucks, and should only have been used as a one time twist. Things were just fine when it was F2. Their tampering with this rule, one of the most sacred parts of the game, has really spoiled the end game.

It makes no logical sense to go from final 3 to the winner. I have been against the final 3 ever since it started. It was one of the main reasons that I hated Cook Islands so much.

F3 was actually one of the very few things I liked about Cook Islands ^_^ It would have been a boring, blow out win for Ozzy or Yul if they didn't have the F3. That said, F3 works only as a one time twist. Making it permanently will not fix any of the perceived inequities that caused its creation in the first place. It only took a single season for the F3 thing to completely blow up as we had Yauman voted out 4th and the biggest blow out finish in the show's history with Earl's unanimous 9-0-0 win.

Ozzy had no choice. Because the producers fucked up with the HII, leaving it as expiring AFTER F4, Yul was immune at that TC, just like he was at every single TC he attended the entire game. Thanks, EPMB!
