Apparently, Alan Newman was a huge Dungeons and Dragons fan. He was knee-deep in a hair-raising campaign with his 7th level druid named Krenzle when he came
upon a huge overgrown bog (played out with old-school figurines, mind you). Krenzle apparently razed the bog, also known as a ferndock, and found the Cloak of
Invisibility!
They put it on hats. |

Those D&D guys sure can make some good ass beer.
Our grocery store has a section of micro brewery and other odd beers and you can mix and match a six pack to try out new stuff. I got the Magic Hat #9, Magic Hat Circus and Sweetwater Blue. I haven't tried Circus yet but I love the Blue it tastes like Blueberries. |

magic hat #9 | ||
|
Just returned from a tour of several NE US and Canadian breweries (including Magic Hat in Vermont) and the Mondial de la Biere festival in Montreal.
#9 was designed as a "transition" ale - something that a Bud drinker could handle and begin to discover beers with flavor. The apricot is extremely subtle and usually not even detected by the casual beer drinker. Great marketing as you can find this as the only craft beer in many bud bars. Only homophobes and rednecks are afraid to try beers with fruit, flowers, herbs & spices. ; ) |

p.s. I found this forum because I was googling "ferndock krenzled" I remember that Steve Allen used to say "ferndoc" or
"ferndock" but I didn't know the D&D reference to "krenzled". Who'da guessed!?
