None of us seems to know what precisely the contract says. I've read somewhere it is for one year after the last episode is shown on TV. But then I read somewhere, in the case of Survivor, that it is one year after the show is cancelled, when the final episode is aired. Then there is the "life-rights" provision. I have no idea, since no one seems to get access to a copy of the contract.
If I were a hamster, I would wait until my stipend is in my hand, and I have cashed it at the bank, before saying anything.
Actually James said it was (I'm 90% sure) seven years. That was said after the show. It was in relation to a question about the DR influencing the game
and other shit the DR does. James said he can't really come clean about it because of the contract. It could be James being James, no disputing that...
However he did mention the contract was up in 7 years (again 90% sure). I think he also joked about writing a book or something... That's all I know.
