Go Syesha! Who would've originally thunk she'd be the last girl standing?? I hope she puts the guys to shame next week.

Some of y'al are acting like Syesha has no talent and is horrible. She's actually a pretty good performer and deserves her spot up on stage. I think
the prodcuers are doing her a huge favor with the "bottom" 2 tonight... they do NOT want a sausage fest for the next 3 weeks... they KNOW Syesha has
a better chance of surviving to final 3 before Brooke does.

The guys are just coasting knowing that they'll make the finale regardless of how they do. But Syesha actually seems like she's trying to win, or at least improving each week and discovering who she is as a singer. |

So here's our final 4. I still don't get Jason, and I still can't stand Archie.
The only F2 worth watching would be Syesha/Cook. So hopefully that's what we'll get. |

JASON is the one who does not belong in the final four. I can't believe he's held on this long.
P.S. I'm not sure if Jason is stoned or just stupid. |

Are we allowed to ask for a Tara Miller apprec.iation thread? I think we can all agree she was the real showstopper this week.

Recapping the odd end to this week's festivities and festooning.
Jason Castro was declared SAFE. David Archuleta was declared SAFE. David Cook was declared SAFE. That left Syesha and Brooke. Ryan declared that one of the two of them (Syesha or Brooke) would go home tonight. Natasha Bedingfield performed on stage, then deposited herself on the couches next to Archtard; make of that what you will. Neil Diamond performed on stage, then subjected himself to Ryan's oh-so-clever repartee. Ryan called Syesha and Brooke center stage, and announced the boot. The emotional one had her predicted ... |

Jason is probably only surviving due to previous performances of his, mainly being "Hallelujah" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Like with
other contestants, one great performance could keep you around for awhile in the competition.
I, for one, would like either David Cook or Syesha to win it all. Archetard is over-rated, and I'm sick of his "I'm so in awe" crap. Of course, he'll have a career regardless, and we'll have to deal with the legions of female fans (and one delusional Randy Jackson) kissing his feet for years to come. While I like Castro, he would be a bad winner, if only because his voice isn't worthy of the title. He's more suited for reggae than pop. David Cook is the only one of the four left that, correct me if I'm wrong, hasn't had a chance at stardom before. The other three were on one TV show or another. I didn't like him at first (considered him too smug), he's beginning to grow on me. Syesha is a massive underdog in this competition. No one expected her to make it this far. Besides, lately, she's been better than most of the competition (now that she has found her niche). Of course, her overall lack of fans severely weakens her chances of winning (at least from the fact that she has been in the bottom two/three more than the other three combined). But, I do digress... |

Gosh, I thought there would be SOME appreciation for Ryan in here after he chatted with Maroulis and Glockson...and then completely ignored Ace Young, who was
sitting there, all so hopeful, for his moment.

I'm not sure if Cook was on a tv show before or not, but he has released like 5 cds already with his bands and solo.

You can also get Carly's album, Kristy's album and Brooke's album.

I'd like to see Syesha win.
Her fanbase is growing, just to judge from comments at Sucks. People who didn't like her at first are starting to notice AND like her. There is definitely room for someone who is best suited to more theatrical kind of performance could find a wider appeal. A lot of us like some of the Broadway musicals that have been written over the last 20 or 30 years. I hope she can pick up fans of more recently departed contestants, simply because people are finding they like Syesha in addition to their other favorite. What would be really good is if people who stopped voting when their other favorite left, but kept watching "just in case" resume voting so they can show support for Syesha. |

Jason is actually very good natured and one of those lucky people who just don't get stressed.

AMAI, I'm a Broadway baby--I was raised on it and have seen many shows in NY as well as touring companies. While I do think it's Syesha's niche,
she has work to do to get there. But as an idol contestant? Not what this show is about. She has, however, continued to improve and deserves to have gotten
far. I just find her a bit of a fake--like in the beginning of this season where virtually EVERY personal clip was about cheerleading and her fake baby cry.
Boring, imo. I don't see her as developing into an artist.
You can be the most gifted "Broadway" performer--and you are still never going to sell millions of albums. Unless you're on the soundtrack of a fabulous show. And AI wants their winner to sell millions of albums. Even though that has rarely happened, the franchise needs it more now than ever. Syesha winning would be pretty funny, though. |

I think some of us suspect he's dumb because he has yet to demonstrate that he's capable of complex thought. |
