After the show, we had the chance to catch up and chat with Ryan Tedder .Being the Kelly Clarkson fans we are, we couldn't help but ask about the new Kelly CD.... I can tell you that Ryan worked with Kelly, they did a total of six songs together. Out of the six, three or four will be on the new CD. Ryan said that he expects one of the tracks he did with her will be released as the 2nd or 3rd single off Kelly's album. But that's a good surprise because his songs pretty much equal HIT. I don't see how anything has changed. People have to respect and better themselves rather than looking to the success of others with their same skin colour (hair colour, amount of body fat etc and so on) for validation. If my country elected a leader who was First Nations that wouldn't affect my level of self-esteem or somehow seem like some spectacular victory after all the struggles that my ancestors have endured through the generations. You are the same person today that you were yesterday before Obama got elected president.

It's taken over 400 hundreds years to go from slave to President. For the people that remember the 60's it's the coming full circle. Again, it's something you have to live to understand. Racism in this country has been a very painful issue. Today people who never felt like they belonged, can at least hope to finally matter and achieve anything. Look at the news people are crying on there knees. It's the biggest day in history.

All along there have been fabulous role models if you needed someone successful to hang on to in order to feel you could be successful yourself. Barack Obama is hardly the first person of colour in history to do something remarkable. As far as the leader of the free fucking world - it's too bad you haven't had the opportunity to live in Canada. It rocks!!! We may not make our politicians into icons but we have access to free healthcare, a good educational system, financial assistance for post-secondary education, and gay marriage. We don't have easy access to handguns so we don't have the same amount of violence or accidental shootings that I see in the American news broadcasts. Think about this: Barack Obama was only the THIRD black candidiate EVER elected to the U.S. Congress and this country has only had one black governor. Now you tell us HOW they could've MADE themselves believe in the possibility of something that was seemingly next to impossible?
