Hey Kathy, when the favorites all entered, were you told to cheer? Because we all know some fans had no clue who most of the people were and might have
slightly recognized them from tapes they were forced to watch.

Kathy, were any of the favorites people you were actually a fan of when you watched the show? Sorry if this has been asked before. Also, I dont think youre
crazy I think youre human and its refreshing to see actual people on the show rather than mactors. I know I am a suck-up.

Kathy, I am around your age, and I give you a lot of credit for doing this at all. Between the harsh conditions and the overall high school/mean grrrlz
atmosphere, it has to be tough on us "mature ladies." I could never do it in a million years. One thing I do wonder, though: How could you have
thought it wouldn't be as difficult as it is? From the first time I watched the show, all I could think of is "OMG, what do they use for toilet
paper?" I guess I'm just not an outdoorsy type.

Hey KB, who's crazier? A woman who marries again after 4 divorces, or a man who marries a woman who'd been divorced 4 times?

Maybe some of them "no fans" only cheered because us true fans were cheering. When Ozzy came out, I said to Joel, "Boston Rob?? Why would he be back a third time???" That hair cut of his threw me for a loop. Plus our eyeballs did not come with zoom lenses. |

I knew that was gonna hurt. I heard all the horror stories. But honestly, you just never know HOW MUCH it's going to hurt until it happens to YOU personally. Get where I'm coming from??? If you need further explaination, just go to an 'I've been anal raped anonymous' meeting |

FINGER STORY (with just a little bit of setting the scene)
Okay. We had been stuck in that nasty cave,( you know the one, where you get to lay on 1,000 year old powdery decaying bat and coconut crab feces hoping you don't get a deadly incurable respiratory lung infection) for about a day and a half because it never stopped raining. Finally, it stopped raining and we were able to venture out to the beach. The sun actually came out and looked like it might be out for a while. The girls thought it would be a good time to try to wash the funk out of their clothes, hair and every conceivable pore on their bodies. I thought about washing mine too, but was so afraid that my clothes would never dry (it took forever) I couldn't bring myself to wash them. The last thing you wanted was to put on wet clothes and have to go lay in that cave. So I sat out on the platform of the canoe trying to scrape the socks off my teeth with a hunk of bamboo. We didn't have any water for 2 days because of the wet wood. (we did try to drink some collected rainwater, but when the storm hit we all just ran to the cave. Unfortunately, we had left some of the raw giant clam in the dishes and when we went to see if rainwater was in them, they were alive with flies etc and thought better of it than to drink it. Our bad.) We were also down to only old, brown and mossy coconuts. Now, the older coconuts that have a shoot coming up from them actually have a spongy center that reminded us of cotton candy. But, they do not contain any liquid. I sat out on that platform for what felt like 2 hours. I really don't remember if anyone even said anything to me in all that time which, in my deteriorating mind, made me feel even more alone. I sat there and tried 'talking' to Rick and Maddy: "Please help me. I need you guys more than I ever have before. I feel so alone and lost. Please 'send' me some strength, something, anything. Help me to even just 'see' your faces in my mind." Nothing.....I actually got to the point where I could not picture my daughters face. I felt I was in bad shape, mentally. (that's the " I can't feel my family" explanation) Then, I started thinking.................. To be continued |
