FINGER STORY (continued)
Then, I started thinking.................. I had a lot of expectations put on me, by myself included. I had told people that I would not quit. Because I, like all of you, hate the quitters. And I know Jeff hates the quitters too. And Jeff intimidates me. So, I started thinking about Jonathan and how medical told him he HAD to leave. Just so you know, I would have traded places with Jonathan in a heartbeat. I felt so bad because he wanted to stay in that game and I could see how devastated he was when they told him he had to go. I thought how unfair it was that I was still there and he was gone. After we found out that there would be no challenge that day, (which I cannot state enough how much a person looks forward to challenges just to break up the monotony especially after spending a day and a half in a cave) I continued to think about how I could go out on a medical. You know, save face and all. We kept winning challenges and as you know, I told my tribe I didn't have it in me to throw a challenge just to go to tribal. I think that's cheating. At that time, if and when I could sleep, I was having almost like POW dreams. I was in a tiny bamboo cage, it's raining, no one would help me get out. I dreamt I was in the sewer with my hand out asking for people to help me, and they would laugh at me and throw garbage at me. I know. Retarded right? True mental breakdown. So I got the idea that I could go chop open a coconut, put my finger in such a position that I could "accidently" chop off a fingertip. I figured that I didn't play piano or the guitar, and they make pretty good looking fake fingertips and that I really wouldn't miss one of them. Then I could just hold up my hand and yell "MEDIC!" and they would whisk me away. The perfect plan. I don't quit, and I don't have to stay any longer waiting to be voted out. That's when I knew maybe it was time for me to go. To be continued................ |

I thought it was really mean of you to guilt Jonathan when he was being forced to leave the game with your crying, "What am I going to do without
you?!?"
Pure evil. Like he needed that extra burden. |

Or council some children who have been abused by pedophiles. Try hanging out with a family that's searching for a murdered family member. Go hang out with a serial killer. Then get back to me on that pure evil thing. We'll talk. |

Are you serious about cutting off a finger to retain dignity?
Wow. You are seriously one fucked up loser. Forwarding story to child protective service now. |

FINGER STORY (continued)
So I went to my tribe and told them everything that I was thinking. "I just need a boat, waawaa etc. etc. etc.. You saw it. Jeff gets there and believe me, he wasn't happy. Maybe I interrupted a massage or something. Or more likely, he hates quitters. We sat on that log and he asked lots of questions which I truthfully owned up to all of them. He asked me how I knew it was time for me to go and told him, "Well, I'm thinking of chopping off my finger and that can't be good. I'm afraid if I stay longer, I actually will. I'm in a dark place mentally and don't know how to get out of it." Eliza topped it off with the best quote that was never shown: "Yea Jeff, and if she stays, we'll always be wondering where the machete is" He asked James, who was trying to start a fire and had not said a word "James, you're awfully quiet." James said "Cuz you're sitting there asking her all these questions and making her feel worse than she already does. We don't blame her for having to leave, just get it over with" This is why James is so popular. He truly is a gentleman and has a kind soul even when people are at their worst. I had asked everyone on my tribe if my leaving would affect any of their games. They all said no, don't worry about it. If any one of them would have indicated that I would fuck up their games, I would have tried my best to stay. (Although they would have to keep an eye on the machete) You get real close to people out there (except Jason) and for the life of me I couldn't have lived with myself if I thought I was leaving any of them in the lurch gamewise. I believe Jeff saw that it was real and not just some lame excuse to leave. That's why his attitude changed and was kind to me after our long talk. He told me it took courage to tell the truth and he appreciated it. THE END See? I told you you would be disappointed |

No disappointment Kathy. At least you realized at that point that you were capable of hurting yourself, you took yourself out of the game.
LOVE to hear that Eliza had a smart and presumably light hearted remark to the situation. And I think James is a better man than I had given him credit. Thanks for all the great insight. ..btw, you aren't sore at me for being the first one here to claim you were Survivor's first Transgendered player, are you?? (bats eyes repeatedly in a doe like expression)

Wow. Glad you actually did leave then.
1 question though- Where/When did confessing to killing OJ's wife fit into all this? |

After your experience, has your opinion of Osten changed since you watched Pearl Islands?
Osten is the precedent that hangs over all Survivor quitters. Them giving him such a viciously negative edit probably contributed to you thinking you had to harm youself to justify leaving the game. I guess if Alexis and Nat didn't try to convince you to stay for the sake of the Fans 4-3 majority, they'd already committed to the women's alliance with Parv. |

I still think you should have told Jeff you were thinking of chopping off JASON's fingers. Just for the hell of it.
