Griffin as host | ||
|
Some interesting things to consider regarding whether we'll see Kathy Griffin as host:
- Season 4 of her show began filming Dec.31 (with a 10-episode order) and is set to debut in the Summer, meaning filming has likely wrapped. - Her tour dates only begin in May, which seems to be around the time when The Mole filming would end. However, - Fans at her website seem to believe that filming will last until April. - It looks like she is still filming for her show, with her recent stint as a minister. - She will be in Mexico in April, doing some charity work.

If she's the host, I will officially stop watching this show! It's from classy reality show, to silly celeb edition and to D trash? We have too many
trashy realities already...no need one more...

As my previous post indicates, Griffin will most likely NOT be the new host.
I came across the rules for The Mole III (the 3rd season civilian Mole that never happened) to film in November and December 2001, and found some interesting information that might apply to the upcoming season: - The semi-final round for casting would last 5 days (same as previous Mole seasons), which means filming is likely already underway for the new season - The mole would be selected during the semi-final round - The final round would consist of the contestants who were selected plus alternatives - It was to have 10 contestants (9 regulars + 1 mole) - It was to be filmed for 4-7 weeks in November and December of 2001 - The total pot was to be $1,000,000 (which makes sense) - A maximum of 4 tasks would have been completed during a Round (72-hour time frame) versus Season 2's Round (48-hour time frame); difference likely due to the increased number of contestants in that season) - The quiz was to have a maximum of 10 questions, including the final quiz, versus Season 2 having a maximum of 25 questions I also came across an interview with Jim, Steven, and Kathryn from Season 1 shortly after the show ended and Jim states that he had prepared for the show by watching the Australian version (which, at the time, there had been only 1 season). That means that going into it, he knew about various games, where he ended up playing in the following: skydiving, repacking luggage, hostage rescue, hedge maze, church snipers (variation), brainteasers (variation), and the dice game. Hopefully this new season uses completely new games, especially since international versions are so readily available online. Season 2 (and I believe Celeb Mole Hawaii) borrowed from both Australian and UK series. |

What I Know? Not Much! | ||
I don't think that they have made all final calls. I just called and asked..."have you made your final calls to bring people out to LA" and she said "NO" that they all haven't been made. I can't guarantee that she didn't mean..contestants on the show...but what I asked is what I asked! So to all you quiet mouses...let possibility shine through your lil spirits!...FOR NOW! And I believe that saying you got a call is okay...casting just doesn't want their business announced to the world like Spring was doing |

Pickled Pepper: Seeing how that ad targets a specific demographic, wouldn't that mean that the rest of the cast has already been selected, and they just
need to fill their "soccer mom" quota? What if you weren't a soccer mom and showed up to the audition? The fact that they are (still) looking
for a specific type of person explains the casting delay which Days Worth Of Pee alluded to.
Days Worth Of Pee: I assume the e-mail had something to do with casting for the show? |

I completely agree with your entire assessment of the situation, greenscreener. That's the same thing I thought.
