TOP 10..But first...A shot that I would have raised..
I think I put Colleen (Borneo) somewhere at 129, lookinh back maybe I should have raised it to at least 100. k, numero 10.  KIM POWERS (AFRICA) NUMBER 10
Haha so random right? Im sure 10 may seem a little extreme. But I really do like this shot. These were back in the days where the Survivor intros were rather plain. ONly a few stood out. This is one of them. I mean for Micronesia standards this shot would be plain but for 2001 this was pure platnium. I love it. first Kim is just a total sweetheart, my absolute favorite in Africa and possibly one of my favorites of all time. In the shot you can see the connection she made with Lindsey. In fact if I remember correctly I think this intro is in the actual show in the first episode. The shot definetly portrays a happy sweet person. I mean shes smiling in both shots. The missle one is hard to tell though. I think it fit in perfectly within the music too. And for some reason the blue flashing lights just work. The only reall funny thing about it is the last shot. She looks kinda creepy, but nonetheless the shot is great.. : ) |

I think). I guess maybe the side shot is kinda unique and both of her shots kinda resemble Kim Powers shot. Ok Numero 9......

Elizabeth was light on the outside (the cute, sweet girl, which she was), but she also knew what was going on with the game. The way her head turn goes from her looking off to looking directly at the camera with more intensity represents this well to me. It's like she's checking in with the viewers and saying, "I'm playing this game." I can see why you put it so high. |

Omg Purple parrot how can you not remember this shot. Its so good. It fit in famously within the music and its just so original. I love how Jerri tossed those palm frons to the side with such force. I mean why couldnt she just set them down. Im sure she was imagining those palm frons to be Colby.lol.. Well, maybe not. I love the m.orph too. It goes from normal to smug. Everything about this shot is great.. The expression, the force, the scenery. It kinda represents one of two things..One the palm frons being Australia Jerri and the new All Stars Jerri trying to throw the old Jerri aside.Or the fact that Jerri was tossed aside by Lex in All Stars just like that leaf. Just a great shot, and its even funnier she wore the same bathing suit in this season as well as Australia. <333 |

Does her tongue stick out? I think so...I love the throwing fronds and the colors, but I think it loses points for the tongue. Maybe if it was less tongue good, but to me--too much tongue. |

Numero 7  7. JENNA (BORNEO)
This is a shot I didnt think would make it this high, but I think its really great. Much like the other shots in the top 10 it fit perfectly within the music and although there is the most obvious spoiler here (Kelly in the backround showing both make the merge) , its still really good. I love it. The crying looks so real, the way the lips quiver,the turn of the head. Do I really need to point out the symbolism here? Obviously its from when she did not recieve her video tape from home. This intro is great and not like the other shitty ones from Borneo. Definetly deserves its 7th place ranking. |
